I'm sorry, but baseless, unsupported assertions, opinions, and silly analogies like abused women are not facts.

Frankly, its an insult to abused women.

Actually you will admit there are abused women, you won't admit the US is being abused.

I think they are recognized a bit more.

But tell us please how unfair trade benefits the US, we are all waiting to hear it.

C'mon bro since you are such a fan of the US getting the short end of the stick.....tell us why?

I've already explained it. We all can buy more goods at lower prices because of trade. If they want to have their folks working in sweatshops to make less expensive stuff for us, that's fine with me.

Why do you want people to pay more money for stuff?

Does this analogy make conservatives abusive men?

If it brings my American brother/worker in line with foreign import prices I'm all for it! Now if it means lower prices at the expense of domestic jobs and lower wages I say screw China and all those in bed with the bastards!

Oh, I completely agree we need to change our policies so that more of the gross national income is fairly distributed to working Americans.

But that doesn't require trade wars. It requires reversal of "trickle down" economic policies.

This is funny coming from the crowd who think a woman's place is in the home, cooking and bearing children.

    . . . . But yet you favor a free market with minimal regulation. . . . .

    ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

For labor and materials IN HIS OWN BUSINESSES, Trump has ALWAYS preferred imports. . . . He even imports his wives.

So you want working Americans to contribute more to the nation's income? How are you going to see that they contribute more?

    Perhaps.

So you don't want working Americans to contribute more to the nation's income?

Depends? So you may or may not want working Americans to contribute more to the nations income? What would your decision depend upon?

So you now start a thread about how women absorb abusiveness.
Is there a single person outside your little group you actually like?

    Your analogy is pretty backwards.

I know women who keep going from one abusive relationship to another

And every time they swear that THIS TIME...he'll be different.

But the sad fact is that they have really bad judgement. They ATTRACT people like that

    Like Trump

Since you're a conservative, I'll give you Milton Friedman's interesting answer to that question. He said that whenever a foreign country uses tax dollars to prop up local industry to provide lower cost goods to the international market, it's the international market that benefits, not the country using tax dollars to prop up local industry. Furthermore, he said that the more complicated goods that are provided versus simple goods that are sent overseas, the wealthier the country that provided the simple goods gets. And he said the cheapest possible price a country could pay for overseas goods was paper currency, because that's just paper and ink. In order for the country that gets our paper currency to make use of it, they have to buy something from the country that provided the currency, but the simpler the items they buy, the better off the currency-providing country is. So in our case, we are buying our manufactured goods from China and they are buying land from us. Since our land didn't cost us much (as a nation), we're getting richer than China is in the exchange.

That said, I'm all in favor of protecting national interest industries and know-how. Question is, are there any national interest industries that aren't also in the vanguard of technology in Japan, Norway, etc.? Most countries prop up local steel plants because they are still fighting WWII. WWIII will probably be mostly a war of aluminum (planes) and silicon (computers).

    Source for that quote

    What about them?

Please provide a source for this quote

Right to work laws are tyranny. It should be up to the employer and employee to decide if union membership should be a required condition of employment, not the government. Why do conservatives always love big government taking away their freedom?

Asinine assumption. There are MANY conservative economists and business owners who view trade wars as an exercise in stupidity. This is hardly a "liberal" view on trade. Really ignorant thread on your part.

Also sorts of things. Are the working now? Are jobs available to them? Are they capable of working? How many hours? Are they being paid overtime? How old are they? Do they have opportunities to develop skills? Are they sharing in the economic growth they've already helped to generate over the past 30 years, or is all the gain going to the owners/managers? What is their health?

Yes, it makes sense that they contribute as much as possible to the nation's income. The rich are contributing the lion's share now, so the working class should pick up the slack.
