Indictments and guilty pleas are a far greater asset to cling to than a pack of Trump lies.

Of course not, especially when you have something to hide. Which is why Trump can't do the interview.

Why would mueller need to leak his questions to nyt? Seems odd, perhaps desperate.

Even if it leaked from the White House? As part of President Small Hands' strategy to undermine Mueller?

Maybe it didn't leak from Mueller's office. It could have leaked from anyone who say the questions. Probably someone from Trump's legal team.

That's quite possible.... It's known that Mueller has met with them several times and the list of questions (I read) would be logical things to discuss at those meetings... Anyway, from reading some of the questions, a six year old following the investigation would come up with the same list.... they are basic investigation questions that haven't been answered...

The open-ended queries appear to be an attempt to penetrate the president’s thinking

Dunno. But Mueller's team hasn't leaked so far. It would be strange if this leak came out of his team.

You do like false claims and conspiracy theories, don't you?

Actually, there have been very, very few leaks in the Mueller investigation. Unlike the Trump White House, which leaks like a sieve and is a rat's nest of backbiting and office politics.

He did not. This list of questions was presented to the Trump campaign two weeks before John Dowd resigned. Rudy Giuliani was appointed to the legal team just a few days ago and promised to end the investigation in one to two weeks.

The Trump team leaked these questions. My guess is that they figured this list could be used to push a narrative that the information sought is either public knowledge currently or the questions are irrelevant/unimportant.

The irony of giving that answer to every question from someone who claims to have the world's greatest memory would not be lost on anyone except the most ardent Trumpettes.

Also, I think it is a safe bet that Mueller already knows the answers for many of these questions.

    Questions for the President himself.

We told you early that Mueller was operating like an investigation of a crime boss. Start low and easy, flip those targets, move higher up the organization, and build up towards the criminal at the top.

who's he flipped? the 13 Russians he symbolically indicted in absentia? Flynn? There's all sorts of problems with that case (fruits of the poisonous tree).

I wouldn't give Mueller the time of day, and you can bet Trump won't
