In case anyone wonders why Kim Jong-un, North Korea's ruthless dictator, is standing between Donald Trump and the Nobel Peace Prize, the answer my lie with John Bolton, Donald Trump's latest in a series of National Security Advisors who has held up Libya as a model for North Korea to follow. You may remember that a few years after Libyan dictator Moammar Kadafi gave up his nuclear development program, his government was overthrown and Kadafi himself was later found hiding in a sewer. The mob that found him pulled him out, beat him half to death, sodomized him with a sword, and finally fired a few bullets into his body. Kim Jong-un is reportedly delighted to learn that Trump's National Security Advisor has mapped out a similar path for him to follow. Now that he's learned what the Trump Administration has planned for him, he can't wait to ship all of his nuclear material off to the USA for decommissioning. However, if I were Donald Trump, I wouldn't clear a space on the mantel for that Nobel Peace Prize just yet.
WTF! WTF! Every time I think Trump's cronies can't possibly be that dumb, they prove me wrong. Every time I'm hopeful Bolton maybe learned something during his gratifying absence from world politics, he bubbles up from the ooze and sticks it to me. Libya! Libya? You gotta' be f****** kidding. You think Kim lusts to have his guts ripped out after being pulled from a sewer pipe? After this, Kim will be in his palace basement with a socket set putting the final touches on his next H-bomb.
Ah, cummon! You know that if someone suggested this to Trump, he'd think it was a good idea. He doesn't score high on the ability to think analytically. Now, Bolton is another case. He may not have the best moral character in the world, but I didn't think he was stupid enough to suggest Libya as a model for North Korea. I guess I have been proven wrong once again. He obviously is stupid enough.
The failure to even hold talks can be traced back to Don's shiny new NSA, the incomparably ignorant John Bolton.
Now that I think it over, I'm not so sure that Bolton's suggesting that the Libya model would serve for North Korea was an error in judgement. He may have been deliberately trying to torpedo the talks with North Korea. If he was, his tactic seems to have worked.
