"Monday’s announcement, which is tentatively planned for 9 p.m. to maximize television exposure, is expected to echo last year’s East Room ceremony, in which Trump, the former host of “The Apprentice,” let the tension build before introducing Gorsuch and his wife, who had been secretly brought into the White House earlier in the day."

"The president is smartly building up his Supreme Court nomination the same way Vince McMahon builds up WrestleMania"

Just loves his reality TV, why waste any moment to make it all about you

Then again, given the week he had last week, Pruitt scandal, new revelations surrounding the Mueller investigation, North Korea found to be strengthening their nuclear capabilities, offset of trade wars, Trump needs a good deflection to start a new week, unfortunately for him, his part and the theatrical production will be forgotten by Tuesday

Funny stuff. Let’s forget Obama made a show of it too:

    https://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/03/17/us/politics/obama-supreme-court-nominee.html

“I’ve selected a nominee who is widely recognized not only as one of America’s sharpest legal minds, but someone who brings to his work a spirit of decency, modesty, integrity, even-handedness, and excellence,” Mr. Obama said in a formal Rose Garden ceremony announcing his selection, where the president was flanked by Judge Garland and Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. “Presidents do not stop working in the final year of their term; neither should a senator.”

    Just politics as usual.

In no way will anything be forgotten my Tuesday. Hopefully Trump will come directly into the FOX studios for his announcement. Lefties will be hung up head over heels digging up dirt on anyone Trump announces as his pick for the Supreme Court. The media fools will be trying to outdo each other with manufactured drama as to how bad this individual really will be. The usual suspects here will be all in a dither with arthritic fingers pounding out "what if's".
While the crazed lefties are trying to put out the fires in each others hair, Trump will have erased more of obamas executive orders and put another federal judge or two on the bench.
    Ain't this great?

Wrong, bad habit of your's lately, Obama introduced Garland in the early afternoon in the Rose Garden, no TV Special, no prime time, no build up, no taking center stage, no making it all about him, a few applicable words and a straight introduction. A simple presentation befitting the position

Right. So The NY Times is lying and he didn’t hold a formal ceremony in the rose garden to announce a Supreme Court pick. It’s standard political fare. The fact you don’t see that is..... well quite frankly it’s concerning. And yes, it was on TV.

Keep it up though. Brer Rabbit LOVES the briar patch.

Will put the TV on mute after the announcement the better to hear liberal heads exploding. Bet it sounds like the 4th of July but LOUDER...

Are you daft, once again, "Obama introduced Garland in the early afternoon in the Rose Garden, no TV Special, no prime time, no build up, no taking center stage, no making it all about him, a few applicable words and a straight introduction. A simple presentation befitting the position"

That my friend is not what Trump and Fox has been promoting, "tune in Monday folks for the big announcement"

And? It was on TV, in a formal ceremony. It’s not something different. It’s political theater. It’s politics as usual.

Sure it will, come Tuesday the real work begins, Trump attempt to make it all about him will be forgotten

And it wouldn't be suprising if Trump went right into Fox studios, it is State TV after all, sure to generate either an appearance on Hannity or morning call in to his favorite show

Yeah, a formal ceremony in the middle part of the day, no TV promos, no previous promises of big announcements, no build up, no attempt to make it all about himself

And if it is just "politics as usual" why hasn't it ever been done before? Why no TV special, why no prime time, why no buildup, your only fooling yourself

    "Let's get ready to Bummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmble"

Not sure what I'll be watching on TV tomorrow at 9pm, but it won't be this....

I bet whoever covers this WON'T cover the coin toss before 9pm deciding who the nominee is...
