I see no reason to defend Trump.
Especially, when the ass hats bring attention to him only to have it backfire.

And this is why we shouldn't be in the U.N. It's not a "world government" responsibility to tell people how to feed their infants. Why are we wasting our money? leave people alone to make their own decisions. Big brother doesn't need to make them.

He must have touched every one of your posts.

The snow calling the flake white!

The language in this article leads me to believe that it is an attempt to outrage the easily outraged.

It is extremely unlikely anyone opposed breastfeeding. Some of us like to remain calm and get a few facts first. Is it possible that they proposed getting more women to breastfeed by limiting access to formula?

For those who resorted to name calling and were outraged by this story, how about an idea to promote self sufficiency by limiting access to Welfare? If you oppose this, you are obviously against employment.

So, why is the left's media ministry misrepresenting the US position?

You could just read the numerous articles about proposal instead of fabricating a rationale behind the trump's decision to derail this proposal.

Also, it is a false choice to claim that you must either limit access to welfare or be against employment.

What proof, beyond a trump tweet, do you have that the NY times reporting is wrong?

Or, let's put it another way, why was the original policy statement going to limit access to formula?

    Have you read the resolution?

Get back to me when you have, and we can discuss it.

Yeah I'm sure all those starving African women are producing large amounts of vitamin rich milk themselves.

Yes, but to threaten sanction over that is ridiculous. It's THEIR country, they can do how they see fits.

Nikki Haley threatened that if "Ecuador didn't drop the resolution, Washington would withdraw military aid and issue punishing trade measures".

Why do you support Authoritarian measures??

    BS.

One of the things I do is treat breast feeding women, as well as evaluating their baby.

She gets mastitis with the child at 6 months of age. She takes ibuprofen for days before she comes in, which reduces milk production.

    Now she's not producing milk.

Who says breastfeeding isn't best for baby and mom?

    What do they do now?

I assure you these are not non-issues in other nations.

In some of those other nations, children are dying or suffer permanent harm because they can't feed.

WHO is a political body, not a scientific one.

I do like their oral dehydration solution.

If the women can't afford to feed themselves how are they going to afford formula?Nestle etc are not going to give it away out of the goodness of their hearts.

I think you should look into the whole World Health Organization program involving infant nutrition if you're that interested in it.

The answer to your question is there. Probably better to get it from them, than some unknown blogger.

Or, you could just trust what the liberal media is saying, in another installment of their "get the President" series, played out by the hour, 365 days of the year.

I don't think the question is did the US oppose the resolution, the bigger question is why.

Apparently the NYT and all the other usual suspects circulating the story, don't care about starving children.

    Been there done that.
Nestle were pushing formula food world wide as being better than breast feeding as far back as the 70's purely for the increase in profits.
How time flies I thought it was only 10-20 years ago.

Apparently you have not been there done that, or you would not be discussing Nestle when the issue is the resolution itself.

What do you have to say about the limitations the resolution called for?

I would think by now, the OP is so embarrassed by hastily posting something from the NYT, he/she/alphabet is in hiding.

3 months earlier...same lefties are supporting trying to crush the fetuses skull and yank it out through dismembering it. Now they suddenly care about the health benefits of breast milk.
Well...Id say canned milk is still healthier than skull crushing....whatya think?

Yes. Now discuss how the proposed statement would have limited access to formula.
