California’s voter registration system is “highly susceptible to being compromised,” because of immigration policies protecting the Golden State’s 2.4 million illegal immigrants, authorities have told Fox News.

The integrity of elections may be compromised by a lack of oversight of non-citizens registering and voting, said Hans von Spakovsky, manager of the Election Law Reform Initiative and senior legal fellow for the Institute for Constitutional Government at The Heritage Foundation.

“If you are talking about California, the state is apparently relying on the illegal alien to tell the state they shouldn’t be registered. There is still an honor system,” said von Spakovsky, co-author of the book “Who's Counting? How Fraudsters and Bureaucrats Put Your Vote at Risk.”

The problem with California is there is no separate verification of citizenship on voter registration, said Charles Bell, Jr., a partner with California-based Bell, McAndrews & Hiltachk, LLP, a law firm that specializes in election law. Applicants can check a box affirming they are citizens, and this is not checked against any other government database such as federal immigration records.

“We have an honor system, which is effective for people who are honorable, but is also an opportunity for people who are not honorable,” Bell said. “There is a gap in the system, and we don’t have administrative folks who will be aggressive about looking into that.”

Since you have the actual names of the non citizens who you say were registered to vote illegally you must have documentation. Can you post the documentation?

Just curious I guess that Angelo must be from Italy or a Spanish country or Latino right? I think that I recognize the source of that the name "Abdel ". Sounds sort of Arabism, right. Seriously it is rediculous to have automatic voter registration! Good that someone caught the illegal registrants as per your story. We need checks and balances. I work as a temp election worker and the last several times I was a checker which meant I ask for an ID to match the name and address. I scrutinize the picture to make sure it matches the person or theybare not voting on my watch. We only got one guy whonrefused to show an ID so our orocedure is that we contact the Town Clerk and the two Registrars of voters one Democratic the other Republican and send the miscreants to town hall to ask for a provisional ballot. If a non complying " voter" gets beligerant or abusive we call in the police officer on duty at the polls. We are not taking any crap from any miscreants. Dem, Rep or non affiliated.

 

Just to teach you a few things.. the federal immigration data bases even if they are actually kept up would only tell you if a person was an immigrant at one time. Assuming that these data bases existed and if I was just registering unless the Naturalization Dara base was interrogated Inould only show up as an immigrant.

What needs to be done to register Is what I had to do and that was show my Naturalization papers. If you were born here show a copy of your Birth Certificate. If you do not have it handy nomlroblem Trump gas guys looking in all town halls all across the country and youbwould not believe what they are finding. There should be no short cuts.. you Krio even thatvyou have a right to vote or you sit out the election.
