I'll try and break it to you gently, but so far as this subject goes you don't have the faintest idea what you're talking about. You might 'love America' but perhaps you should spend some time wondering why so much of the rest of the world loathes America?

I used to agree, but the truth is that the democrats, at least since carter don't have a bush or trump.

Russia is not a powerful nation. They have practically no navy (this is why sanctions are effective), their economy is in shambles, their military is no longer decent on the international stage, their GDP is pitiful, their days of empire are long behind them, they have no influence in the international community. All they have left are dictators and theocrats struggling to hold onto power, and their ageing nuclear arsenal.

This is a badly worded pole question. You should have said- "do you approve of him more"/ "do you prove of him less".

I disapprove of Trump in general so can not click on "I approve" but, I approve of his meeting with Putin so I approve of him more.

 

All that's correct. Russia is a third world economy with nukes. But in the digital age, they have new weapons that are just as effective, or better, than what the west has or is able to do, given the freer, more open nature of its societies.
Putin and his agents are very effective at sabotaging, sowing chaos and meddling to weaken and disrupt the western alliance and he has a willing lapdog in trump, who is apparently compromised and unable and unwilling to defend the US against the predations of a foreign power. His true agenda was exposed last week in Europe, and it could have been scripted by the kremlin.
I think that this fact alone makes trump unfit to be potus.
Anyone who keeps supporting trump's behavior on this issue has to be suspected as a traitor to the US after this.

You saw the press briefing in which the media wanted Trump to say that his election was illegitimate because Russia changed the results. He was not about to give the media what they wanted. After they failed to delegitimize his campaign, they tried to delegitimize his election, then they tried to undermine his transition and since then they tried to delegitimize his presidency. You think he should have given them red meat to prove the lies they have been pushing?

Donald Trump won for 2 main reasons: He worked harder than Hillary and he worked smarter than Hillary. He overcame the media working against him. He overcame the entire Justice Department working against him. He overcame debates tainted by Hillary cheating. He overcame the Democrats inciting riots at his events. He overcame Soros pouring millions into opposition groups. He overcame former fossil hedge fund manager turned environmental wacko Tom Steyer unleashing millions against him. He won. It's time for Democrats to accept the results of the election and move on.

 

It didn't exactly take a whole lot of expertise to hack the DNC.

They are taking a lot of cybersecurity expertise in large part because when a hacker pisses off the US or Europe they have no choice but to flee to Russia.

Answer: President Trump believes in doing what is best for the American people instead of worrying about scoring political points. Our leaders have became so driven by scoring political points that this is all thag matters to them. They will gladly put their political careers over the interests of the American people.

In this situation, the best political move for President Trump would be to denounce Putin because of all the political spin by his opponents. President Trump does not operate that way. He is results driven.

I have gained more respect for him because of this. Of course I also know the truth when it comes to the Russian collusion BS.

It's when I read the occasional intelligent and analytical post like the above, against the ones which contain nothing more substantial than ridiculous phrases like 'turd polishing' (no names, no pack-drill, but Surfer Joe knows who I'm talking about!) that gives me hope for mankind. Islamic State is coming, and we need Poo'n on side to help us deal with them.

 

That wouldn't be the information I was interested in. Obviously it was a disgraceful performance, the interesting question is if it woke anybody up, or if everyone just curled back into their excuses and cognitive dissonance again.

As for two sets of policies, when did republicans become protectionist? when did republicans start loving American enemies like Russia? when did republicans stop being worried about national debt and deficits? when did republicans start smearing American institutions?

Now, how about you address the issue at hand and that is Trump's disgraceful arse kissing performance with an enemy of America who directed its military to attack the american electoral process.

Get back to me when you can come up with a direct justification for such an historically putrid performance by the supposed leader of the free world. (he's thrown that title out by hissownself).
