    I just want to hear the efforts to claim it was an unjustified use of lethal force.

    GEEZ everyone cries for body cams but they don't even wait to see the video before they start rioting. Even knowing the vast majority of police use of lethal force is justified.

    Let's see they want to abolish ICE now these signs say they want to abolish the Chicago Police Department. What do these less than very bright people think will happen when we have no law enforcement anymore?

    The next great rallying cry for the left: Bodycams are racist.

    Also, I guess we now have to say these guys protesting what looks to be a pretty solid case for what the cops did - they must be - what's the term I keep hearing? Boot lickers? So whose boots are they licking?

    One man reaching for a gun shot by cops = riots and looting because "he aint dun nuffin wrong".
    46 men, women and children shot over a weekend by gangs = why don't the cops stop these criminals?

    The guy could:

    1. Walk up to police
    2. Ensure that they have their bodycams on
    3. Flash his firearm
    4. Explain that he is going to draw and shoot them in ten seconds.
    5. Hand them a signed and notorized statement to that effect
    6. Do a 40 minute FAQ Q&A session in advance on points the protesters are likely to make, refuting them one by one
    7. Draw and attempt to shoot the police

    And 90% of these protestors would still be here clamouring for blood.

    They asked for all of the body cam footage to be released with audio. Reasonable since the Chicago pd has shown it is fairly easy.

    They are asking the CPD be disbanded and were rioting after they got it. Why do these people support the criminals?

    I just can't imagine why black and white cops alike might have difficulty behaving the same around black folks as they behave around white folks. can't put my finger on it.

    Can you drop the false premise? I don't know of any mainstream liberal who thinks ALL police shootings are unjustified, or are actually "anti-police."

    The reason you typically see community protests immediately after a police shooting is because in many minority communities there is deep mistrust of the police -- mistrust the police have generally earned over the decades, through unequal enforcement and treatment. Those communities have started to feel empowered, and they're not giving the cops the benefit of the doubt -- in part, to keep pressure on the police not to slip back into old habits.

    Many police departments are trying to change that now, but it doesn't happen overnight. You have to understand both the mistrust AND the difficulty police face both in doing their job and winning back the community's trust.

    That's why bodycam footage is so useful. It protects cops who are doing their job, and exposes cops who are bad actors.
