It's really funny to see these incredibly hypocritical arguments.

The CIA is a horrible group that cannot be trusted!!! .... unless they are acting against Trump in which case they are innocent victims of the mean old white man Trump.

Russia is a no longer a threat and to think so is "old Cold War rhetoric!" ..... unless Trump is President in which case Russia is evil and trying to destroy Democracy.

With the internet, these completely flip flopped stories simply don't hold water anymore.

It is the biggest reason that modern media outlets are failing and things like peer videos and individual stories are becoming so much more powerful. The media completely lies (both sides) depending on which ideology they are trying to represent.

We the people simply don't care anymore.

Especially when they are thought up by people that don't even live in the country like the OP.

I see that cuddling up to Russia is no problem for you because your all for peace and good will to all, fine sentiments but it seems only a short time ago your Trump lovers were screaming “Nuke the hell out of them.” A revelation that makes Paul’s sudden enlightenment on The Road to Damascus seem rather a tame affair.

If these "Intelligence Services" were that intelligent they would have caught the Russians hacking the computer systems. But despite the warnings during the Obama Administration, particularly from Devin Nunes in 2014, nothing was done.

The fact that European leftists would agree with American leftists is not surprising at all.

I'm surprised at the outrage, did any critical lefties here really expect Trump to speak highly of the FBI? If you and your closest associates had to cope with Mueller, Comey, McCabe, Strzok... for years, how would you feel about the integrity, thuroughness and professionalism of the Bureau?

Ah well, Trump is the Head of State, he should have been more diplomatic, it is unseemly for him to criticize his own institutions, then again, we all know Trump is no diplomat, he didn't get where he is not calling them like he sees them.

They're not interested in a war, they just want to see Trump fail. They are very flexible in their ideals.

Your example of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction was a good one. It shows that all humans fail at times, regardless of their position or intent. But there's a difference between a President selecting one major lie and repeating it over and over to convince the simple-minded to support his unnecessary war, and a President that invents lies continually on every conceivable topic, and always based on what can benefit himself most, not the country. Add to that, Trump's obvious policy of sewing distrust in Americans for every existing human or governmental institution that has served our nation and its people in many positive ways since it's founding. I knew Trump was trouble when he claimed repeatedly during his campaign, "Only I ca do it." I have a deep rooted distrust of anyone with that kind of arrogance. Yesterday Trump intentionally chose to be supportive of Putin rather than the hundreds of professional intelligence personnel who've dedicated their working lives to the safety & defense of our nation. Indeed, Trump has sown distrust and disrespect for the entire Dept of Justice, judges (who disagreed with him), the FBI, the CIA, and the entire intelligence community in America. Cowtowing to our long-established enemies while continually confronting our long-established friends does NOT make America "Great Again." It makes us appear as untrustworthy ourselves, unreliable as friends, and totally self-serving no matter the cost--just like Trump himself. This kind of reneging on past agreements by Trump at random gives the U.S. a bad name and makes us untrustworthy as a nation in the eyes of other countries. Not a road to making America "Great Again."

Yeah, sure. Armitage. There was a long line of leakers. Armitage, Rove, and Libby for a few.
But why is it that it's always someone that ends up lying and obstucting justice that goes to jail.

I went to San Diego Pride March this weekend with my gf which gave me a chance to discuss some of the more polarizing issues with heavily partisan Democrats.

The biggest thing I learned is that they truly believe that Republicans or anyone "not on the Left" is of a different country. They refuse to believe that there could be any other ideals than theirs and it was kinda a creepy thing to witness.

When asking "Do you think it is bigoted to not allow others to have their own opinion?" a few of them got SUPER offended and would resort to some of the same attacks that have worked for a while now of "bigot/racist/homophobe/etc".

Thankfully, the majority of them were fairly calm and willing to openly discuss things, it was nice to see them shun the people who claimed that crap.

But from what I can see, it really is because they live in a bubble and haven't really seen or spoken with anyone else around the country. I think a lot of Righties fall into this trap as well, but I will say that it seems Leftists are the only one that are trying to call the other sides' opinion as openly "evil". (EDIT--- That's not true, there are plenty of Righties who do this. But I guess I tend to see it a lot more from the Lefties. IMO it is probably 70/30)

Strangely enough, I found the lesbian women to be INFINITELY more open to dialogue than the gay men.

One of them actually got so angry he hinted at wanting to fight me, it was absolutely hilarious to see his reaction when I got kinda excited and said "Sure! That would be fun! Want to do it here or outside?"

Since my gf knows I have trained for the last 16 years, she instantly popped up and diffused the situation, still, the thought of it cracked me up.

    Yeah, Clarke's a real liberal:

Clarke worked for the State Department during the presidency of Ronald Reagan.[2] In 1992, President George H.W. Bush appointed him to chair the Counter-terrorism Security Group and to a seat on the United States National Security Council. President Bill Clinton retained Clarke and in 1998 promoted him to be the National Coordinator for Security, Infrastructure Protection, and Counter-terrorism, the chief counter-terrorism adviser on the National Security Council. Under President George W. Bush, Clarke initially continued in the same position, but the position was no longer given cabinet-level access. He later became the Special Advisor to the President on cybersecurity. Clarke left the Bush administration in 2003.

I've lost track of how many threads have been started because people are suddenly outraged at a US President humiliating himself before a foreign leader of a country that routinely meddles in US elections & manipulates US policy since Israel has been doing precisely that for decades & the last US President to stand up to Israel was Eisenhower.

    There is another difference.

Bush got people killed, Trump hasn't.

Actually, can you cite any negative effects that we see in our daily world from Trump?

    I can't.

Here are the 2 Russian hookers that came to Trump's hotel that night in Moscow.
Trump said he told them to go home to their mothers and that he would pray for them.

Naw, That's President Obama talking to the Russian President.
Different when the President elect tries to do it.
