And here we go again with the ACLU (progressive liberals) not wanting the police to have tools that can definitively identify a CRIMINAL thug which will cut time and make their jobs easier offering more evidence to take to court so the criminal lawyers have LESS to use to get their guilty clients off with loopholes.

This software will not only work in favor of putting criminals away, but also get people off that aren't guilty that might otherwise suffer prison terms for mistaken identity.

The ACLU has been horrible for this country and always will be. I realize there needs to be checks and balances in place but this organization almost always goes to bat exclusively for guilty criminals putting them back on the streets to re offend..

Liberals - these are the same people who don't want to put physical descriptions on bulletins after a crime is committed or release surveillance videos when crimes are committed on trains because it will identify too many minorities.

No. **** this. Only the masses of ignorance would ever support such a thing.

We already have an already out of control government, and you want them to have more power?

Our government burns down a church full of American citizens of all ages, for no other reason than they used their rights.

Our government invades other countries all the time for, “The Lulz”.

No thanks, take your Utopian dreams and move off this continent.

I hate the autocratic need to ban everything that has potential dark sides. This system could be of great legal use for law enforcement. As for possible abuses, just keep an eye out for it in the future and then sue when you actually have a reason.

Yeah, not saying I'm right to think this is a good idea, jury's still out for me as well, but that said, I think for those who have nothing to hide, this shouldn't be a problem. And for those that do, it will be a great tool not only for law enforcement but the American people as well because theft costs everyone, not just the business owner. Prices go up that we all have to cover whenever these thugs steal something and it costs all across the board actually because due to housing criminals, jail them and tax payers having to pay legal fees and court costs. So anything that can expedite the system and be a deterrent would be a great thing, in my opinion.

I'm on the fence about this but I tend to think the benefits to law enforcement and security would outweigh the potential loss of privacy.

    1. Your statement is inane at a time when crime is raging so far out of control and the left is advocating war on law enforcement trying to eradicate them entirely.

    2. This software would help level the playing field against fighting terrorism and illegals who are using fake ID's.

    3. Would help to keep court costs and prison housing down and be a deterrent.

    4. Will help keep innocent from being wrongly convicted.

Yeah that's the one thing that worries me as well. Like Libby I'm on the fence and think the good will outweigh the bad at least in the beginning. But that said, the FISA court laws were implemented to be strictly used to spy on terrorists, not American citizens. Well that all changed when Obama decided to lie to FISA court judges to obtain warrants to spy on Trump and his people. Obama also went off the reservation when he spied on Angela Merkel of Germany. God only knows who all he spied on. So even though it started out as a good innocent enough tool to be used to catch terrorists, leave it to the nefarious criminals on the left to distort the laws.

There is no reasonable expectation of privacy while out in public. As long as it stays out in public, no problem.
