    I often wonder what these bots actually post. Do they automatically log into boards like this and just repeat "TDS or Trump Is great!"

    Given the number of left-wing posters that mysteriously vanished after the 2016 election, I'd say we have a pretty good idea what any bots registered here posted - and it wasn't "Trump is Great".

    It was nothing compared to the fly by night right wing members that suddenly appeared. But given how certain members only have a restricted response list I.e.

    TDS
    OBAMA DID IT
    LIBRUL CONSPIRACY
    WITCH HUNT

    I more than suspect we still have bots and trolls on this forum

    Many of these bots are publishing pro trump propaganda

    While not naming anyone because that is a PF Rule violation there is evidence of bot activity here on PF. There is also evidence of Stormfront agitators and other less than salubrious types around.

    While it is not difficult to spot and out the racist white supremacists the bots are more random. It is almost as if they are hybrids by which I mean there is person controlling multiple bots and will intervene occasionally to provide cover.

    The Facebook epidemic is out of control IMO. What it needs is a "family and friends" verification tool so that all legitimate users can either limit whatever they see to only those that they actively allow to post to them or an alert mechanism that flags anything that was not verified asking for it be verified.

    This is not rocket science either. All email systems have scanning systems to eliminate spam and provide the ability to report spam with a single click.If Facebook did the same it might have all the help it needs to clean up it's own act.

    Personally I avoid Facebook since I really don't give a crap what kind of muffin someone had for breakfast or whose child almost scored a goal in soccer. I also don't have a Twitter account for the same reason. Gossip bores me and I don't "follow" anyone.
