After all, wasn't he the guy in charge when Russia meddled in our election?

CIA Director John Brennan told NBC News' Andrea Mitchell that the agency did not snoop on Senate Intelligence Committee computers to thwart an investigation into illegal detention and interrogations under President George W. Bush.

Ron Wyden refused to swallow any more of the CIA Director’s lies.

“In 2014, the CIA conducted an unauthorized search of Senate files, including the emails of Senate staff investigating the CIA’s use of torture,” Sen. Wyden addressed Brennan. “The CIA Inspector General later stated that the search involved improper Agency access to Senate files, and a review board that you appointed concluded that the search resulted in inappropriate access to the Committee’s work product. You initially denied that this search took place, but the reports of both your Inspector General and the review board show that this denial was at odds with the facts.”

And who was head of the CIA when the Russians did all their meddling in our elections?

An armed agency with police, intellegence gathering and counterintellegence authority as well as war fighting powers that contemptuously and clandestinely initiates illegal surveillance, search and seizure operations on lawful civil authority is a huge problem! These are direct criminal attacks on the rule of law and incontrovertible evidence of insurrection, rebellion and insubordination.

Had this been done by a branch of the U.S. military a hundred general courts-martial would have been convened within days. Rebellious officers and men would be facing life at "hard labor." The commanding general that ordered the rebellious act and then (like Brennan) lied under oath about the events, would be facing death.

I see no difference between the military and armed law enforcement agencies. This is expecially true with agencies that are granted the powers to conduct counterintelligence operations.

Subordination of Armed Forces to Civil Authority is absolute and inviolable.
