Trump says the press, not Russia, is the 'real enemy of the people'

I knew 2018 would be a very, very entertaining year! The First Rule of Holes is to quit digging when you find yourself inside one. It appears "draining the swamp" means to forget that rule. He's habitually attacked our allies, but has nothing but praise for Putin and Russia. Now, he puts Americans, even if they are "the media", on an enemies list and removes Russia. Fascinating! What's more, as his Tweet implies, he wants to allow the GRU to take a good look at US intelligence techniques and evidence to help find "the real hackers".

President Trump on Thursday blamed "the real enemy of the people, the fake news media" for portraying his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin as a failure.

He insisted that the meeting, which was met with alarm by Republicans, Democrats, and national security experts, was a "great success," and additionally said that he looked forward to a "second meeting" to move forward on "stopping terrorism, security for Israel, nuclear proliferation," and more.

Intelligence officials have condemned Trump's apparent defense of Putin regarding Russia's interference in U.S. election systems. In a second tweet, Trump baselessly claimed that most media ignored his acknowledgement of Russian meddling out of a desire to "see a major confrontation with Russia." He did, however, praise Fox News for showing clips of him discussing Russia's interference, condemning the rest of the media for wanting "no part of that narrative." Summer Meza

 

Why do we have any dialog with Russia while they are meddling in our election and occupying Crimea?

Be prepared for a shootout in the White House as Secret Service agents shoot commandos coming in to arrest President Trump. That is how close we are to a revolution. Be prepared for a mob— a leftist mob—to tear down the gates, the fence at the White House and to go into the White House and to drag him out with his family and decapitate them on the lawn of the White House.”

We know the msm is anti-American. But Russia can also be anti-American.

The two are not mutually exclusive.

He's not saying all media is the enemy of the people, just the Fake News media, and I tend to agree with him that the Fake News media is the enemy of the people. I would even go one step further and suggest that the fake news media may actually have more damaging influence on the average American than any Russian meddling ever could have.

Trump is worried that if he admits the Russians played a very small role in the 2016 election, the Dems will jump up and say: "Aha! You admit you're illegitimate!!!". And that's exactly what they'll do.

Trump isn't smart enough to say:

"The Russians tried to influence the 2016 election, but they spent 0.000002% of the total amount and it had ZERO impact on the results. Even so, this is a problem. We should investigate what they did and how to prevent it in the future".
