    No one expected an attack

We knew it was just a practice exercise for the day government might have to suspend civil liberties

And why should we take Trump lying and Huckabee Sanders lying as news?

That is what Trump said during his recent dialogue on TV for all to see. You believe it, yes?

That's Rush Limbaugh, biggest liar of all talking...He and the army of copy cat wannabes have you guys trained like toy poodles to disbelieve proven facts that he/they/you guys don't like. The campaign, funded by the Heratige foundation and other right wing think tanks in order to get working people to vote against their own self interest at the behest of union busting corporate whores and appoint judges who will always rule in favor of corporations and billionaires and against working Americans. I remember Rush when he was a comedian shock jock in Sacramento in the late '80s. He got picked up by an international radio cabal who transformed him into some kind of phony political guru that hapless angry white losers fell for in droves. They even called themselves Ditto Heads and bought premium subscriptions from the guy. The guy never even registered to vote until the '90s but his numbskulled minions blindly believed everything he said. Then an army of copycats arrived on the scene, Hannity, Michael Medved,(former sandal wearing hippy Jewish intellectual) and Dennis Prager, same deal both draft dodging shysters who could argue either side of any issue but knew where the money was, followed by a bunch of other hacks to make sure that this garbage was pumped out 24/7/365 on almost every AM radio station in America. I watched it all happen. It was/is a brilliant campaign and almost all of the posters here on this forum have obviously been indoctrinated by these clever shyster/propagandists. Their words, phrasing and thought patterns have been spoon fed to them for the better part of three decades...cheers

I have never listened to Rush Limbaugh. I used to watch ABC and got sick of the leftward slant of the news programs. It was like that on all the major programs, some worse than others just as they are today. FOX didn't create the right wing in America, the MSM did and FOX feeds it and feeds off of it just the same as the MSM feeds the left wing hysteria. I'm just one person but I'm not a robot or a cultist. I just got fed up. I think that's how most people who voted for Trump feel.

You do not need a card. And MSM showed his little speech at the rally. I guess that Fox did not. There were more false statements
and I do not remember them, but the flock believed the stuff. Why?

I am surprised that you all are not fed up with Trump. He is a con-man and people can be conned for a period of time and at one point the con no longer works.

There is not a "side" that is stalking her. Evidently, certain people may be. Did she mention that she was being stalked?

Trump doesn't alienate the viewing public? He sure does, and it has nothing to do with the MSM.

When Limbaugh was at his height, he dominated Premier Radio Networks, which would strong arm affiliates and subscribers into taking an entire package of right wing talkers to get Limbaugh.

This worked for a while. But after Clear Channel's leverage buy out, they had a lot more trouble supporting Limbaugh's pets (Mark Levin was one of the right wing talkers given a national audience this way).

Of course, after Sandra Fluke, Limbaugh was successfully boycotted, and his ratings collapsed.

Finally, in order to stay on the air at Cumulus, he had to agree to be booted off most of his largest stations, and take a substantial pay cut.

Laugh all you wish. The truth is what is. Eventually, most of the BS (wherever it's 'perched' and crapping on things) will be flushed out or winnowed into the margins by reality itself.

No, the core set of attitudes that defines the far right wing in the US has been around for a long time.

The people who got to Trump rallies are the sons and daughters of the ones who joined the John Birch Society and thought Joe McCarthy's television antics were patriotic.

Their parents were in the Klan in the 20's and the America First movement in 1940.

Parochial, isolationist, scared of the outside world, and always wanting to retreat in fear of the unfamiliar. Much of it is either casually or virulently racist (we have a lot of that here).

The MSM did not create these people.

At one time they listened to Father Couglin spew much of the same sort of thing you can see on right wing blogs today.

They have been the eager targets of every right wing political demogogue of the last century.

They represent the dark underbelly of American political culture, the part that doesn't really understand or believe in what the US stands for, but are always ready to attack anyone who doesn't blindly wave the flag.

You would have never heard of Rush Limbaugh were it not for a regulation change that made it possible for him to market his mean Archie Bunker act nationwide. Guys like him had been around on the AM dial in local markets for years.

Fox was the product of a man who became a billionare by giving the great unwashed their bread, circuses, and cheap movie stars, celebrities and scandals.

Fox News entertains the right wing audience, the same way AM conservative talk radio does. Which is no accident, since Fox is basically right wing talk radio with pictures, with a few car chases and human interest stories for garnish. And be sure the news model in the center has great legs and a short skirt.

Fox intentially dumbs down its content, and routinely lies to its loyal audience. They keep coming back for more.

Fox never has to worry about credibility because its audience doesn't care if what they want to hear is not true.

And when I hear Trump supporters say that they voted for Trump because of the "left wing hysteria" and especially some of the terminology that gets used, I hear the echoes of George Wallace and Spiro Agnew.

Thank you.....All you have to do is be an observer to see how they vote against their selves while being full of hate and anger.....Based on no truth, but they believe.....And a wonderful way to target is by religion, they are even easier to get sucked in!....Scary and all true!

    Again, Thank You!

Maybe you are hearing what you want to hear? FOX programing is propaganda just as the talk shows on MSM are and some people are affected just as the propaganda is designed to do, on both sides. Fox news is the same news you will get on any station you choose and it's the way it's presented that gives it any perceived slant right or left.

You are passing judgement on a lot of people you don't know and have no idea what motivates them. I have lived through the entire Cold War, Korea, Vietnam and Bush and I have never seen the kind of hysteria and vehement hatred I'm seeing now. It's real.

Don't hate him at all. In fact I played 18 holes with him and had several drinks afterward once at a charity golf outing sponsored by the Steelers. He loves the Steelers, The Rolling Stones, Golf and drinking a bit. He's just doing what he does for the money. I know what he and the rest of the right wing blowhards are up to and who sponsors them.
