The State allows for the taking of human life. Your use of the word ...'homicide' is not the correct context in which the state's allowance of taking of human life is permissible.

That's true, homicide is the 'unlawful' taking of a life.
Any debate would appear to be at what point after conception are any rights acquired and given protection by government.

Life only has the value others put on it....if someone got a big enough "bag of coins" they may sell, or sell out, anyone.

If certain parties can make a profit on a good old war then they will drop the value they place on human life...

If a corporation can knowingly make a product that kills people they have devalued life in place of profits.

Protection is given at viability and rights are given at birth.

So if not a dollar amount what are you looking for in determining the value of a human life?

All I'm asking is how you assess the value of a human life?

    I can.
Indeed, the mother and father have equal claim to ownership - which is to say, none whatsoever.
And yours isn't valuable to me...

...so just hold still. This won't hurt for long.

I was referring to the fact that they're the parents and it is their child. What did you think I was talking about?

Well for people of a religious belief, the value of life come from their beliefs. For the non-religious person,
they will each decide the value of their own life at least and probably the value of the lives of their friends and family.

You are correct, however that is ALL totally and completely irrelevant! What is important is an individual's value that they place on their own life. Do you value you YOUR life? I'm still not sure whether or not you think that you have the right to life after what you've said in previous posts!

No, other than that. You have to be able to judge the value of each thing without considering where they are located. Anything less is being intellectually dishonest.

How did the fetus get there? By the woman's own efforts? :roflol:

The reality is that simply being a human does not present one as having any value at all, other than what they exhibit acceptable to other humans.
