I believe that almost all the people in the room believed Dr. Ford, but they did not care about that, they just wanted a conservative judge in that spot before the midterms just in case the senate flipped.

 

They also didn't care about the two cases of him lying under oath, his background as a partisan operative, his rage against Democrats (which even HE knew was a serious issue - both in terms of how that disqualifies him from so many cases AND in terms of his ability to make serious and dispassionate decisions), his notion that the president is above the law(!), his demonstrated attitude toward women and minorities (including native Americans), etc.

This is NOT the kind of guy we want in the SC.

He's dramatically NOT like Chief Justice Roberts and the rest - those with whom we may disagree, but who focus on making decisions based on the constitution.

And try to remember that unverified and uncorroborated claims cannot be investigated. There is nothing of any substance there.

 

The FBI is part of the administration. The investigation was limited by the president and carried out by two men close to Kavanaugh.

This was engineered to be a NON investigation.

And, that's what happened.

Dr. Ford, Kavanaugh and ALL of the list of those Dr. Ford gave as having information about the event were NOT EVEN CALLED by the FBI.

That is absolutely something of substance - showing the Republicans had absolutely NO interest in vetting Kavanaugh.
