    One single step won't do it. They'll need to beef up interior enforcement, allow the IRS and SSA to coordinate databases to ferret out the duplicate, phony, underage and stolen Social Security numbers. Additionally, go after Visa over stays through a beefed up system and the ITIN users as well. Punish to the fullest extent of the law employers large and small. Concentrate on industries like meat packing, restaurants and construction that typically attract illegal workers. Shut the businesses down and jail the owners, make hiring illegals as one of the just causes to break the Corporate and LLC's veils of protection so the businesses they affected can sue them and the owners personally. We need to take away the incentive to come here.

    The ones that do should be moved as a family to closed down military bases and detained their for as long as it takes to get them to immigration court. At any time they decide to go home, send 'em back.

    Yep, very likely would work. Odd, that no party has attempted to actually enforce any of it.
    Instead focus on a bandaid that won't fix the problem, like a wall.

    Congress needs to change the asylum laws and in the meantime drop them off at their apporpirate embassy and tell them their your citizens and your problem.

    Correct, nothing will change until Congress changes it and the president approves...But in the meantime, they are not allowed to return anyone that enters this nation but to their original country of origin.

    The money we spend on illegal immigrants is a rounding error in the DoD's budget. They're the least of our problems. A society going through it's worst-ever drug epidemic is a profoundly ****ed up society. This is a shallow narcissistic money-obsessed culture that totally deserves it's shallow narcissistic money-obsessed president. Even our religious institutions are a joke. If Jesus saw what American Christians have done to his teachings, he'd stick his finger in our chests and have a few choice words for us. Like that guy in the Ted Cruz commercial.

    Which is a poor excuse to open our borders to any and all including those who cannot support themselves. It's not about how much of the budget it takes.
