Mob of white nationalist ‘Proud Boys’ brutally beat several men: ‘Are you brave now, f*****?!’

Antifa are dumb and the "proud" boys are equally dumb. Pretty pathetic you support one group.

This is one small group of people while Antifa is many groups across the country with tens of thousands of members. You act as if the PWB's are the issue but in reality they are a very small part of the problem. We should be focusing on ending the violence on both sides.

 

Yet they purposely go and look for trouble when they should let authority to handle it. Right now, they are making matter worse. Why are they associating themselves with criminals and a group like FOAK?? Looking the the righties on this site, they seem to support the violence. Pretty pathetic.

Well, I'm not completely opposed to violence. It doesn't bother me when members of antifa get their asses beat, they deserve it. Literally, if you're a ****ed up enough person that you'd join a group like antifa, you need your brains scrambled with foot or fist. That's the only thing that will help you.

 

I'm not sure the Proud White Boys are any better than Antifa and maybe they are out looking for a fight but at the same time Antifa has been asking for a fight not long after Trump became our president. I would like to end the violence on both sides but Antifa is to stubborn and immature for that.

 

And I won't be sympathetic to a bunch of "proud" boys, when one of these days, the cops will lay batons to them and toss their collective @$$e$ in jail. One of them is already in trouble with the law.

It's a convenient shorthand, it very roughly captures a facet of reality, but it's like saying the whole world is divided into 'tall people' and 'short people', plus thinking that height is all that matters.

As for the Proud Boys, I am quite certain that among their ranks there are some unpleasant people, who fit all the descriptors for 'racists'. And I would be willing to believe that the 'anti-racism' of their official ideology, as seen on their website, is partly tactically motivated.

But this is true of all movements that gain anything like a large following. (See all the Leftists who have suddenly become American patriots and friends of the FBI and CIA -- the most hilarious about-turn since the Stalin-Hitler pact.)

In the case of the Proud Boys, the hope is that, for anyone in it who is a genuine racist (not the Left's insane definition, but someone who actually hates all Blacks and Jews and Muslims), that the mask grows into the face, a la the Oscar Wilde story.

Genuine racism is poison for the Right. And so is non-defensive street violence. I'm not talking abstract morality here, but simply how to be politically astute.

So long as anti-Fa are seen by the public as the people who throw half-bricks at Republican grandmothers, most ordinary people, liberal or conservative, will condemn them. But if they can portray themselves as the victims, they win. So smart people won't over-react to their provocations, as difficult as this may be.

 

This is not at all impossible. The Black Panthers were mainly lumpen thugs led by hustlers, and were easily infiltrated by petty criminals whom the police had turned into informers. It's
a small step from being an informer, to making stuff up/exaggerating the information you're passing on, to becoming an actual agent provocateur. This happened to the Panthers.

It's also how the FBI broke the Klan in the South.

However, it's trickier for the police to do this nowadays, i.e. to actually incite felonies. Nonetheless, I have no doubt that groups on the Far Left and Far Right are infiltrated by people who don't share their views.

The answer to this is simple: whether you're a liberal (or even further left), or a conservative (moderate or hard-core), all you have to do is affirm this basic idea:

Your political opponents should have the same rights you want for yourself. Specifically, the right to assemble peacefully, to protest, to hold meetings without their being disrupted. Violence or the threat of violence against anyone doing this is to be condemned.

Easy.

 

I never said they were, just that stomping people who are on the ground is unacceptable, criminal behaviour, and those individuals should be imprisoned no matter if they're from the Proud Boys, Antifa, or the Holy ****ing See - violence is unacceptable.

I'm pretty sure if you polled both that Antifa would be more white than the Proud Boys.

I keep hearing blaring and insecure little boy shaped objects whine about how whites are becoming a minority so it's pretty funny to see them hurtling towards extinction in their own little Klan.

 

I struggle not to be supportive of the Proud Boys. I truly do.

You see I happen to admire their principles.
Just as you admire Anti Fa's.

I think it is right to beat the **** out of people attacking you. I really do.
I think it is right to meet violence with greater violence.

I don't think however that the most democratic and liberal society on earth has a 50% population of Nazi's and KKK however and is being ruled by the re-incarnation of Adolph Hitler.
I just don't.
So it is impossible for me to sympathise with Anti Fa and easy for me to sympathise with the Proud Boys.

One are a bunch of fascist bully boy weaklings trying to take over the country by force, and the other are a bunch of rowdies who enjoy fighting violent ********s and are good at it.



The problem for me with the Proud Boys, is if we get rid of Anti Fa, will they stop finding people to fight?
And that I can't answer for certain, but suspect the answer will be "no".

While they are just beating up Anti Fa people who are actively looking for a fight themselves, that is fine. Carry on. No harm done between consenting adults.

 

I have, as a matter of fact, been in plenty of fights. And I know for certain that if any of my mates stomped someone on the ground we'd bash the **** out of him.

I think we have very different definitions of beatings.
