There aren't enough Marshalls it needs to be the National Guard, armed with orders to shoot to kill if accosted and arrest everyone wearing a mask.

Telling people they're over reacting is NOT defending mobs.
Why don't folks actually read the story that happened instead of some BS flamebait piece that this OP is about?

You're over reacting and so is ANTIFA. Calm down and please stop the violence. We don't want another shooting on a baseball diamond.

    I watched the video.

Why do you defend these people?

Are people over reacting vs Anti fa?

Yes, if they think they are about to take over America.
No if they don't like criminal fascist thugs running amok and causing harm and intimidation and setting precedent that black shirt behaviour is socially acceptable in the USA.

The answer is simply this, you defend these people because you admire them.
    You believe what they believe.

You self identify and that is enough for you to give them a pass.
They attack people you see as your common enemy. They do the deeds you dream of doing yourself but know are too socially unacceptable for you to publicly been seen doing.

What else can I believe of you?
    There is nothing else.

Women’s March co-chair Tamika Mallory wrote an angry op-ed published Friday in the Huffington Post, titled “White Women: Stop Waiting for Black Women to Save You.”

Mallory worked a rally led by the racist and anti-Semitic Louis Farrakhan.

Mallory wrote, “Last week, Sen. Susan Collins doubled down on white supremacy and patriarchy in America. Women and survivors of all genders will never forgive her for it. In a 43-minute speech last Friday, Collins managed to dismiss survivors, argue in favor of a man accused of sexual assault, and advance President Donald Trump’s white supremacist political agenda.”

Crazy Mallory then blasted all white women: “Like many people of color, on a gut level, I expected this outcome. We’ve seen the system and white women fail us over and over again.”

HuffPost refers to Mallory as “an esteemed social justice leader, advocate and activist.”

Mallory gave white women a stark choice: ”We need them all to choose us, their fellow women, over the white men who hurt all of us, but who grant white women a little bit of power along the way.”

Mallory provocatively urged white women to “get comfortable with discomfort”: “We need them [white women] to get comfortable with discomfort, to check their fellow white women when they prop up white supremacy and white male patriarchy, to sacrifice their bodies and support our work with their dollars as well as their voices. That means showing up, and showing out, but also centering and lifting up our voices and experiences. It means voting for women of color who will fight to end rape culture, white supremacy and patriarchy.”

You guys love to avoid the question as to why you defend Antifa. Since you don't understand this video maybe I should post some others where they are causing trouble for traffic? Oh wait I already did that in a similar thread if not this one. You guys just put the blinders on because you refuse to admit Antifa is a problem thus you guys are part of the problem.

Here is a video of Trump supporters actually stopping Antifa from blocking the road. It's about time someone stands up to these idiots.

I guess you're another that does NOT know the difference between defending and telling those like you, over reacting over a lie of a story.
In the real story, Antifa isn't involved. But maybe some masked people were there, doing much of nothing.

If they think antifa is going to overtake America, they are over reacting or scared of their own shadows. They're nut cases.

No one is answering your question because no one here is defending Antifa. All you are doing is unwittingly demonstrating how certain people are blinded from reaching a rational conclusion of a situation because they are gauging the situation preemptively on the basis of their politics.

You're basing the judgement of the situation on your opinion of a particular group of people instead of judging the situation based on the actions of the individuals themselves. The second video you are sharing took place at an entirely different location, at an entirely different time, by entirely different individuals. It is not rational to judge the incident in Oregon based on the video you have shared

The incident in Oregon was a hit and run, plain and simple. Whether the pedestrians were Antifa, or the driver was Antida is irrelevant. Under either circumstance, the walk sign in the crosswalk was lit, and the driver committed a ht and run when he used his vehicle to push through a group of pedestrians who had the legal right of way. The people who intentionally caused damaged to the driver's car should be held accountable, and should be made to pay the damage expenses. However, the driver should also be held accountable for hitting a pedestrian in the crosswalk when the walk sign was lit.

That is my judgement of the situation, NOT based on politics, but the circumstances of that specific incident. Period

Thought you needed additional sources. You suggest he "watch the news" ... You have a citation where Tamika claims her social media was hacked, and comments aren't hers ... Like Joy Reid.

    Disagree.

Anyone who believes Trump is fascist.
    Republicans are fascists.
Anyone who seeks to associate them with white supremacy.
Anyone who says right wingers are racists and fascists is supporting Anti Fa.

Anyone who refuses to address that false labelling is promoting Anti Fa.

Plenty of Anti Fa apologists here. Plenty.

The protestors may have a right to protest if they have a permit but they do not have a right to break any laws while doing it. Blocking traffic is never permitted nor is destruction of property while protesting. On occasion protestors may block a road or intersection if it is included in the permit but police must reroute traffic around the protestors. Protestors are not allowed to accost anyone or any vehicle they encounter in the demonstration.

Maybe we should include in the permit process the requirement that no one be allowed to wear masks or body armor during their protest. It appears to me that wearing a mask and body armor is an incitement to riot and should be prohibited by law.

Why would I need to care what someone says I've never heard of? What weight would that person hold?

Once again, another tirade that has absolutely nothing to do with what actually happened with the hit and run incident in Oregon.

    What happened is clear.
A righteous mob set upon a car with people in it.

They were terrified and drove off.
One of their attackers got run over in the process.

I'm not crying for that person. Darwin Award.

Now as long as you keep fueling this mobs "righteous fervour" with your willful and deliberate and malicious lies. More of the incidents will occur.
As long as you keep on with the hate mongering, just because you lost an election in a democracy. Were people lose elections every 4 years...

And you can blame Hitler and the KKK for this violence, but it's not their fault, it's yours.

That is clearly not what was seen in the longer video

    https://katu.com/news/local/driver-plows-through-protesters-in-downtown-portland

You're creating your own narrative that the crowd of pedestrians were angry with the driver, and yelling for someone to get the license plate number for no apparent reason. In actuality, the crowd became agitated when the driver used his vehicle to push through a group of pedestrians in the crosswalk while the walk sign was lit. We can clearly see in the video that no one was bothering the vehicle before the driver illegally entered the crosswalk and continued to hit the accelerated as a pedestrian was being pushed after being knocked off their feet

The idea that the crowd reaction was not in response to the hit and run that just took place is illogical. I'm not sure what Hitler has to do with any of that... but I think any rational thinking person can read your argument and judge for themselves on whether or not your notion is reasonable.

I'm sure the crowd was very unhappy after it happened. But they were already hostile before
It wasn't an unprovoked attack. It was an act of self defence for a person in a life threatening encounter.

You can keep defending these people because you Feel Trump = Hitler if you like.
    He isn't.

You are clutching at straws with both narratives.

It is quite clear that you think none of us are rational thinking people.
And that is the root of the violence. The narrative you push.

As long as we are not rational thinking people, violence is the only reasonable solution to our disagreement with your narratives.

You are setting the scene for more. Well done.

I think we are probably discussing different events by the way.
The one in which an Anti Fa guy is run over is the one i was referring to.
Panicking car goes right over the top of him.
Not one in which some guy in his car is being told where or not he can drive by some verbally abusive protesters and then chased in his car down the road.

There is also a third one where two Anti-fa get bounced in the fast lane of the motorway. Which is not violence linked at all. Only stupidity.

Why do people want those on the right to acknowledge violence done by the alt right when the left will not do the same when the violence is done by the alt left? I remember all the protests of the 60's and 70's over Vietnam, even though I didn't agree with them they were largely peaceful. Why do they feel the need to become violent and break laws now?
