    Anyone know how when ur gf really wants to believe you cheated on her so she can justify treating you as bad as she does, but then she finds out you didn't cheat and so she treats you even worse for depriving her of that emotional validation?

    Well I hope yall dont know about that, cuz its some crazy ****. But I think we're all about to see it when the progs find out that Trump is trying to help the environment.

    The 8 million tons is the weight of the garbage in water. Because of the buoyancy phenomenon once the trash is removed from the water the 8 million ton figure will increase dramatically! :)

    At the 8 million ton figure that’s about 301,800 semi truck loads. Or around 590 one hundred car unit train loads. Of course this is all approximate because we don’t know the average density of ocean trash.

    Sounds like an improvement over now anyway.

    Trump's entire "Environmental Policy" is indeed the Comedy Blockbuster of the entire planet as he puts some good-feel (non-biodegradable) colorful bunting and warm fuzzy platitudes as he daily creates destruction of the seas, waters, and ecosystems to make another trillion for himself and billionaire buddies!

    BTW, it's very nice for people to pick up some trash by the beach and it is appreciated, but helping the sand look nicely while the rivers and oceans rot to death underneath them is not helping your children and our planet not die.

    A great first step. Now he needs to look at manufacturing processes in the US and eliminate the plastic items that do significant harm to ocean life, like straws and the plastic used for six packs of cans.

    Plastics are the most cost effective, sanitary, and efficient means of supplying goods on the market. Typically 100% recyclable, when a proper system for reuse and recycling is put in place, they add very little to the environmental load.

    However, trash does end up in gutters and washes out to the ocean. I live at the Ocean. I walk out my back door to the sand.

    What is being done is to develop ocean going recovery of the waste coming from countries like China and others. These floating masses have value of about $.20 per pound in the current market. Figuring out how to capture and process this ocean borne waste at a commercially viable level is the technical challenge currently being explored.
