    Well, yes and no. Having a few non-white members allows the group to claim that they aren't white supremacists. At the moment a lot of the rhetoric from white supremacist groups is specifically anti-Muslim. I can see how a non-white person who is vehemently anti-Muslim could conclude that the group is right for them. At least that seems to be the case for the EDL over here in the UK.

    I don't buy it. What's the point of being white-supremacist, if you include all groups?

    As far as I know, these Proud Boys haven't made any anti-Muslim statements. They just appear to oppose the Antifa-terrorists.

    New York City police on Thursday night made its first arrest of a member of the violent far-right group the Proud Boys for his involvement in a violent clash with anti-racist protesters outside a Manhattan Republican club last Friday.

    The New York Police Department announced that Geoffrey Young, 38, was arrested at his home in the suburb of New City. He was charged with misdemeanor rioting and attempted assault.

    After a speech at the Upper East Side’s Metropolitan Republican Club last week by Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes, members of the group brawled with protesters on the sidewalk outside. The fist-fights were caught on surveillance video from multiple angles, leaving observers questioning why no Proud Boys were arrested at the scene.

    Three anti-racist protesters were taken into custody that night on assault, petit larceny and harassment charges.
