America has an opioid issue, an obesity issue and the most expensive healthcare in the world.
    Working as intended?

Well, I’m very fit and trim, never done drugs of any kind, and spend very little on health care.

Yep, this country is great. You get to choose. Don’t moan to me about other people’s choices. Would you like me to force everyone to live healthy like me so none of this is a problem here? I’ll bet not. So don’t imply we should go all socialist so others don’t have to be responsible like me.

Positive news for social security's solvency I'd imagine.

I'd say it's all those illegal meheecans etc. that sneak in to my country.

Even if their statistics aren't counted they suck up the health care resources meant for Americans.

So after 8 years of Obama, 6 years of Obamacare and decades of open borders the country's ranking is 21 steps closer to the third world status.

    How is this even surprising?

Caused in part by 20 million illegal aliens hammering hospital emergency rooms because their kids have the sniffles.

I'm not sure the study considered the cost of healthcare as much as access to said healthcare, and here in America we have access to some of the best and most technologically advanced care in the world. Seems to be more linked to health. Americans are in general not healthy by the points they are considering, if you factor in legal and illegal drug use, alcohol, and cigarette use, people have the funds to abuse them in the US if it makes them happy. Obesity is becoming a problem, but more so because of another factor they mention which is lack of exercise. You don't get obese if the calories out are equal to or less than calories in. People have the funds for the technology in the US and the all the various media formats to keep a sedentary lifestyle, if those technologies are what keep them happy. ie tv, movies, games, computers, tablets.

you left off one of the most significant over looked reason for why America has a shorter life expectancy than other countries
one of the leading cause of accidental death in America is car crashes and because more Americans travel by cars than any other country by a considerer amount
it hasn't a dam thing to do with health care It has more to do with being a prosperous country from which more can afford cars

The opioid supply and expensive healthcare are both the result of Progressive ideology.

And if you were involved in a life changing event tomorrow would you expect everyone else to stand by and make excuses as to why you should not get health care?

Of course they would like to force everyone to that. Remember, libs don’t care what you do, as long as it’s mandatory.

What they don’t want to ban, they want to make mandatory. Simple 50/50 solutions the libs have to everything.

No one is being denied healthcare. I’m speaking as one who is healthy but has firsthand knowledge of life changing medical emergencies. Trust me, Uncle Sugar is not the only way to help hurt or sick people.

I work in one of the most dangerous occupations. It’s cost me a lot of money. I’d rather die than be taken care of by theft from others.

Even whales look after other members of the pod

Ultruism is not theft but it is something that appears to have disappeared from the American right

Sometime when you have time do some research on the difference between charity and socialism. And how application of the two impact the mindset and mental well being of participants. I’ll help you out by telling you right off the bat socialism and charity/philanthropy are not moral equivalents. In fact they are polar opposites.

Also, look in to the stats on charitable giving broken down by political leanings and religious beliefs. Because one political sphere abhors theft by any name doesn’t mean it doesn’t care about and help people.

If we stopped importing the third world, and if our minority underclass decided to join mainstream American society, we'd be better off.

The red states give far more to charity than the blue states. The most charitable are in the Deep South. The least charitable are in New England.
