    Dr. Carson knows that the fetus is of the human species and its tissue is of us. Of a human being does not mean a human being.

    If Dr. Carson wants personhood for fetal tissue, let him change the law.

    ...because fetuses are aborted at all stages of development for a whole hosts of reasons. If a late term abortion is needed, then why can't the mother donate the organs to an infant of similar size or to research?

    Transplants happen in utero from infant to fetus ...fetus to fetus ...and fetus to infant depending on availability.

    Most late term abortions are for gross foetal abnormality butbthere is one condition which may be suitable to donor and that is anencephaly, however you still have the issues surrounding operating on small babies and of rejection

    Much of what is presented to the general public as science is propaganda. If you want a rational intellectual debate on this ask me how I know.

    I’m taking your word this is a quote in context from Carson. It’s fascinating to me that people of faith are assumed to be stupid or incapable of critical thought. Once the memes, .gifs, and stereotypical smears are scrubbed from the surface it usually is evident the positions of serious (not just proclaimed for personal gain) people of faith are well thought out and based on logic and science.

    DO NOT CONFUSE BAD JOURNALISM WITH GOOD SCIENCE!!!

    And Ben should know better because medicine is rooted in systematic reviews of scientific literature

    But then he is just a surgeon

    Is referencing Darwin an appeal to authority fallacy?

    I’m skeptical of your knowledge base in science. I’m more skeptical of your understanding of Christianity. These subjects are deep water for those with a fear of immersion founded on ignorance.

    The claim that because Carson is a Neurosurgeon - that he what he says in relation to abortion is true - is the fallacy.

    Not sure why you would question my knowledge of Science or Christianity as I did not comment on either.

    We may have different idea of what is “good science “ coming out of academia today.
