Thank you for confirming why you disqualified yourself from any further interaction on this topic as far as I am concerned.

I have an X-chromosome, I am more female than Warren is Indian and I feel that you are just afraid of debating a woman and do your best to silence her voice with crypto-insults, ignoring the arguments she makes. You are afraid of intelligent women who think independently.

Warren's family lore, common in Oklahoma, that they have native American ancestry is true, as best as can be determined. None ever claimed a significant genetic identity, apparently.

If their genetic profile makes them happy, good for them. (Johnny Cash was, reportedly, very disappointed after he had his genealogy researched and no trace of American Indian heritage could be found despite his family's tradition.)

Since no one in the Warren family ever claimed tribal membership or tried to gain some sort advantage through the family tradition, folks who obsess over it and bray insulting, stereotypical inanities appear particularly silly.

Native Americans should enjoy pride being taken by other Americans who share a little of their blood - like Warren - or wished they did - like Cash. It was once a matter that was deemed necessary to keep a deep family secret.

You complained that the mathematical analyses of 'Dizzy Lizzy' Warren's "minority" claims were inaccurate. They conclude that she is anywhere from 1/64th American-Indian to as little as 1/1,064th. So, I asked you for your computation, and you deflected -- this is SCIENCE, remember...? Therefore, let's use the most 'Warren-friendly' conclusion -- that she is 1/64th American-Indian. That is HALF of what even libs acknowledge as the baseline minimum to be considered a "minority" -- 1/32nd. Case closed -- except to say that I most sincerely hope that she becomes the Democrat candidate! Her crushing, ignominious defeat by anybody in the Republican Party would make Walter Mondale's drubbing by Ronald Reagan back in 1984 look good by comparison....

Next, you come up with a completely subjective finding that supports the concept (and practice) of LEGALLY putting one citizen above another. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 corrected all the residual legal 'wrongs' that existed in this country after the Civil War, and if you deny that, tell us all what parts of these Acts are in error or which go unenforced!

If we cannot agree on the bedrock axiom that in the United States, all citizens are created EQUAL, and must be treated EQUALLY, then how can we seriously discuss what equality and fairness is?!

On an individual level, no civilization on Earth has ever been able to FORCE one person to like or dislike another person because of race, creed, or religious preference. That is precisely why the thing of commanding importance -- indeed, the ONLY real importance -- is THE LAW! And, as I pointed out, THE LAW corrected the inequalities between U. S. citizens FIFTY-THREE YEARS AGO. :flagus:

But now people in your faction are satisfied that Reverse-Discrimination is perfectly acceptable? Disgusting, and it hints that perhaps the Civil War never really ended after all....

Those RW'ers at CNN are at it now, seems every media channel has turned RW against Lizzie ;) Probably a paid conspiracy.

I really need to start the snowflake channel, it only broadcasts the news you want to hear.

She only said that after she got caught calling herself an Indian in law school -- not "maybe 1/1210," but "an Indian." Reasonalbe people, and all REAL Indians, know the difference

Why di you think she listed herself as an Indian in law school? I believe she was looking for an advantage. We are all of us proud, some of us vain. That's why we list our accomplishments and affiliations in high school yearbooks and in our resumes.

Except in her case, she wasn't really part of the debate team, the Meals on Wheels Club, the tennis team, etc. She just wanted it to be true. That's what makes her a fraud. You can really tell when she tries to embellish the story talking about "my maw maw and my paw paw", basically invalidating every argument against her claim as an attack on her family, which it isn't.

Come on Elizabeth, embrace your whiteness. We built Chartres cathedral, rocket ships to the moon, the Pieta, and the Mass in B minor.

    We ain't so bad.

The whole yelly/screamy thing... promotions for heavy-duty ignorance in thinking (ex: dumbass reality-tv idiots like Sarah Palin)... the, "my guy lost the election so there's no fair representation in Washington," mentality... etc.

Actually a generation is the time it takes for a female to become fertile and capable of breeding. Nowadays they can't legally do so until 18, but in Warren's Great, Great, Great grandmother's day, 15 year-olds did marry, got pregnant and had children, this was not at all unusual. If Warren became 15 half a century ago and her parents had had her when one of them was just 15 years old, some grandparent had a parent at 15, and each succesive preceding ancestor was 15 when they reproduced, just 140 years may have run since 1878 when she had a squaw as a great, great, great grandmother.

That doesn't make Democrats, shadowy trump hater.

You have to realize, Max-Heaven, that Trump cultivates his own backlash of hatred with all his: vile mimicry of invalids and victims, gross attitude toward women, and generally hateful attitude toward any/all who do not walk in lock-step with him (especially those in the media who report the truth rather than his prescribed propaganda). You would have never seen so much disdain for a [could-have-been] President: JEB Bush, Romney, or McCain.....

It is my impression that the Tea party is as happy with Trump as they can be. You lost me. I greatly admire Sarah Palin. She rose to Governor and a VP selection and that is not bad. She has had to take lies told about her and comedy about her on TV. And she stands tall. Women ought to admire her.

The Tea Party has not been very happy with the sitting President for the majority of their existence, and my point relates to how they act when they are not pleased with the sitting President. as for admiring Palin: She doesn't know a thing about current events, both national and international; quit her job as Governor in lieu of appearing on, "Dancing with the Stars," and; her kids act like trash while she continues setting a bad example for them. If you admire that then there is something very telling about you.

She also changed from Republican (her party of choice while claiming a Native American heritage) to Democrat.... Not sure if she's still addled or not... but the folks on this thread who labor over condemning her are deeply addled IMHO. :)

The world is not exclusively liberals and conservatives. Most are somewhere in the middle. Say, you're not a Russian operative trying to divide America... Are YOU???

I plan to check on your assessment of the Tea party.

As to your ripping Sarah Palin for a woman of your stature to rip her puzzles me. She quit to run as VP. She was so admired after several years as Governor, McCain picked her. I do not judge her for what her adult children do. I guess now to a republican advice to not have sex makes you a bad parent when the child ignores it and has children.

To insult me is not wise on this forum. I am not the louse you say I am.

I do not like things Trump says. Still he does a good job. I believe others told him to knock off the rude talking on twitter and to crowds. But as you see at his crowds. there are plenty of women, veterans and the invalid who are there to support and admire him.

It is a topic on the forum is all and to me what she says matters not one bit.

But the person that checked her DNA had no Cherokees to check as a standard. What he used came from Mexico and into South America. So her claims should be she has a trace of south American bloodline. But she chose to name a tribe that refuses to partake in DNA testing.

I would like to paraphrase Ayn Rand on this one; "In a compromise between food and poison, poison will always win."

I am definitely not in "the middle" and I hardly believe that "most people are". To be honest, Centrism is an easy way out if you are a coward who is afraid to stand up and speak up. Centrism has gotten a waaay too good reputation too, which is the very reason I would like to hand you Centrists the burden of being the political side of Hitler and Mussolini. There are many good arguments to back that up (although they, technically, were Lefties, but it is more fun to give them to the Centrists).
