Would you hate Hitler, or a serial killer like Ted Bundy? The Bible says God hates divorce, a heart that devises wicked schemes, and a person who sheds innocent blood. The Bible says Jesus hated the deeds of the Nicolaitans (who believed Christianity should adopt to popular social secular activities).

Hate, like any emotion, is bad when it consumes a person.

Thanks for the insult, but disagreed that not hating is "naive". Disagreed that hate is not wrong. Hate is an "intense, passionate dislike". Ergo, it's an emotion. Emotion clouds judgement. I don't hate Hitler, Bundy or rabid dogs, but I do think all should be put down humanely for the sake of innocent people. That's not hate, that's logic.

You were wise not to cite the correct scripture about the Nicolaitans (Revelations 2:6) especially when one understands why early Christian leaders "hated" them as Antinomianists AKA Christian heretics. Early, and obviously latter day, Christians often hated those who disagree with them. Sad. I doubt Christ would approve not matter what words were put into his mouth in Revelations.

 

Whatever makes you feel better. But ... Oh My God! It would only be in your opinion. Though I don't know what makes your opinion so much greater than anyone else's. Does God speak to you in your head?
