I don't blame them for wanting to be here. I do blame them for their plan of action. The word refugee can have such a loose meaning. To me a refugee is someone who has to leave because the country is persecuting them or if they're feeling an invading army or if war has destroyed their region and there's nothing left. But if if you're just a victim of the decades of choices that your people, your community, and your culture have made and you want to throw in the towel and go live somewhere else then, well, I don't consider you to be a refugee. And surely no one can disagree that if you claim to be a refugee and then decline refugee status when its offered to you then, well, you're not a refugee. If they want to be in America then my advice is take Mexico up on their offer and apply to enter the legal way. Become an American, not an invader.

 

Just close the border, and stop all asylum claims. We know we're being gamed, turn off the apparatus which allows it.

 

Which means they are NOT "asylum seekers" as "asylum" is the first country that will take you.

 

Those not getting asylum can always hit Mexico on the way back...
