At this point, impeachment talk is ridiculous.

At this point, the Dems need to hammer at Trump with several committees and use subpeona power.

You underestimate Trump's ability to make an ass of himself and demand to be the center of attention. It is that very thing which was a primary driver of the Dem's election wins yesterday. Personally, I think the Democrats need to come up with some real things to work on instead of just being the "resistance" but it's silly to pretend like they will be the only spectacle in the same town that has Donald Trump in it.

 

Lol. You guys have no idea what you are talking about. there will not be a single article of impeachment voted out of any subcommittee or full committee for either Kavanaugh or Trump. Pelosi will see to it that nothing sees the light of day, no matter how many progressives in her caucus publicly clamor for one. Sure there will be oversight committees, and investigative committees looking into all sorts of topics and some congressmen will make some incendiary speeches for their base. But I would bet a lot of money here. There will be no article of impeachment that gets through a subcommittee vote, let alone reach a full committee or the House floor. Won't even come close to happening.

Most factors in the GOP's strengthened hand in the Senate point to the Democrats' bad behavior during the Kavanaugh hearings. This is one rebuke they badly needed.

 

Spoken like a true tribalist who does not want the Congress doing its job of governing. Instead of impeaching Trump, simply "hammer" the President and try to turn people against him. Issue subpoenas when no crime has been committed. Maybe courts and law enforcement agencies should subpoena elected Democrats for nothing.
