By that logic she committed battery when she touched him while taking the mic. Neither of them are actual victims of battery. Let's stop with the snowflake crap.
Hannity isn't a reporter he is a commentator he is paid to give his bias opinion Acosta claims he is a reporter a journalist
No she was doing her job and no force was used Acosta used force to remove her hand from the Mic by coming down on her arm that had ahold for the Mic
An assault can also be verbal, with no physical contact, and result in conviction and incarceration. Amazing how people are defending Acosta and revealing how little they know about assault.
She didn't touch him when she reached for the mic that didn't belong to him, but to the WH. We often refer to assault and battery interchangeable, but an assault isn't an actual touching, battery is. He is guilty of a battery for pushing her aside when she was simply doing her job and getting the mic to give another a reporter a chance to speak.
It's not assault, it's rude just like Trump said and Acosta took it to far the second he started jostling with this young lady. Trump called on him, he wasn't ignored, he got his shot. Trump told him he has a different opinion and clearly stated he's for legal immigration. Dipsh$$ then wouldn't give his fellow reporters a shot to ask there questions and he more than deserves to have his credentials removed. He was out of control just like his boss wanted him to do, now Jim can sit on a set pontificating about his superior knowledge. If a conservative did this he would be called out if you want proof just go back to the campaign where the young lady wouldn't get out of the way when Trump was walking and she was slightly moved out of the way. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
This is beyond laughable. Assault? On whom? When the parties are wrestling for a hot mic, it's hard to tell. Bad form for sure, but here's the point the RW and Trump desperately wants to ignore - the Republicans had the biggest mid-year shellacking since Watergate. They lost a third of the 1000 seats they picked up during eight years of Obama after only two years of Trump. Trump went down, hard and it's just the beginning. This was payback from a press that has been denigrated by an inept, corrupt president for two years as "fake news" and "enemy of the people." Tuesday was also payback by voters that were sick of the appalling lying, horrible behavior, and corruption by their president. The old "gotta respect the office" dodge by Trump supporters is distraction. We didn't honor that weak nonsense when we, in effect, fired Nixon and we're not about to honor it for Trump. Nor should we if we value the republic.
she wasn't wrestling she placed her hand on the Mic no force was used on her part the force used was by Acosta first by snatching the Mic away then him coming down on her arm with his hand and your justifying battery on a young female intern for Trump criticizing the press a earned criticisms
She touched him several times while reaching for the mic. And he barely touched the inside of her elbow while resisting. Yes, she was simply doing her job, yes it is the WH's mic, and I can see giving him the boot for any number of things involving his behavior here, but cries of "karate chop" and "battery" are just plain sad.
An assault is the act of inflicting physical harm or unwanted physical contact upon a person https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assault
Wow your post is delusional. No it wasn't assault but Acosta acted like a jerk and deserved to have his press pass yanked. You're free to think trump also acted like a jerk but hes the president at the white house, he gets that luxury. The Republicans are happy with the way the midterms went and with good reason. Not only did they keep the Senate they have a bigger majority. Sure they lost the house but the party out of power always picks up seats. In fact the dems picked up less seats than historically they should. Both dems and Republicans have reason to be happy about the midterm and it certainly wasn't a "shellacking".
it forced her arm down and made her lose her balance enough so she had the look of disbelief on her face she turned to Trump looking for him to react to what just happened
Just a Press/Truth-Bashing set up by our President/Dictator/Traitor. Fulling knowing a tough question was coming.. so using it to Bash Acosta AND other reporters. An outrageous display by our Sociopath Prez. He hates the Press because he hates the truth. And they have it/him on tape. `
Staged how? By Trump? Acosta was being rude and argumentative with the president When trump told him to sit down and be quiet he tefused to do so Even jostling with the presidential aide over the mike But if you mean staged by CNN to goad trump into banning Acosta you might be onto something
The issue with Trump is his dangerous embrace of outright lies and mistruths. This is dangerous because it does a few things. 1. It undermines accepted, scholarly science and studies. 2. It encourages group think and faith acceptance. 3. It furthers the divide by encouraging those that listen to refuse facts and evidence based arguments in favor of agitprop. 4. It continues the divide by offering a perspective based usually on superstitious nonsense, and really is simply done to drum up votes. Trump is, in my opinion, not racist, not stupid, and not a dictator. He is a demagogue, a liar, and is a corporate thief that is using nepotism to enrich himself, his business, and his family. Those things are undisputable.
Why aren't you outraged that a political activist is shouting false narratives, and obstructing the press's ability to obtain information for the public?
Trump was angry, huh? Kinda like anyone else that has answered questions that are the same questions already answered. Wherein ones gives the same answer multiple times.
