These people better call up their Congressional Reps and Senators and demand funding for a wall.

To assist with your understanding of the issue, I suggest you google separation of powers.
The court can no more order the President to sign legislation than the President can order the court to rule something constitutional.

Any lawsuit goes to a judge, right? Someone that's legally responsible for making a decision. Whatever the judge of that lawsuit says or decides will be legally binding. A judge can order an immediate cease and desist to the shutdown which would force a CR that would open it back up until February anyway.

Believe me. It would take a lot for most government workers to quite. Probably months without pay. Certainly there are many highly skilled people in the government, e.g., medical doctors, lawyers, and so forth that could find good jobs, but people like EEO specialists and the like would be SOL in the private industry job market.

Why do you refuse to understand a court cannot order Congress to pass legislation, or the President to sign it?

A judge can't fund the government and ordering a CR like you propose would be laughed at.

Do you think that the lawyers for the American Federation of Government Employee are dummies? They are alleging that the administration is violating the Fair Standards and Labor Act, by allegedly illegally forcing as many as 420,000 federal employees to work without any foreseeable paycheck.

It's out of the scope of your purview to judge a case, it's the job of a court to do that.

However the judge could say that the essential personnel do not have to work.

I am curious as to if the contracts they signed for employment includes the verbiage to work without pay.

Liberals apparently lack the basic government class that used to be required in high school.

Trumpers severely overestimate the power of the president.

No one is saying civilian essential personnel have to work. They are free to resign any time they want to.

By deeming them essential and not furloughing them, in fact they are being told part of their continued employment is working unpaid. You are right, they are not FORCED to stay at their job, but they are being told they have to work.

Well some of us understand that the President has the power of the veto as per our Constitution -- ARTICLE 1 SECTION 7. Have you ever taken a Government class?

Now when you libs finally come out of the closet with your desire to overthrow the Constitution, the gloves can come off as is always the case with traitors. One would have thought Dimocrats would have learned their lesson after the US Civil War.

They are being directed to report to work but inasmuch as they are free to quit what is the issue? These Government workers better start putting pressure on their dimocratic reps to fund a wall.

I did my part. I called my Republican Senator and Republican Congressman and told their staff in no uncertain terms I will NEVER vote for another Republican if they cave on funding a wall.

What makes you think Federal employees sign employment contracts? I worked as a Federal employee for 33 years and I never signed an employment contract.

Why don't the people concerned about not getting paid in a timely manner (they will be paid) simply quite?

Government is having a layoff. It happens to people in the private sector often enough. No reason government shouldn't work the same way. These are "non-essential" people. The layoff should be permanent.

Now you sound foolish, aren't you just a little bit embarrassed? Where did you get the idea that Democrats want to 'overthrow the Constitution' when in fact it's Trump that has stuck his middle finger in the eye of the Constitution. You'd think by now that if any Trumptards had any intelligence that they would have figured this thug out by now.

Trumpsters have no clue whatsoever about people that have careers, not merely jobs, but real careers as in a 'profession'. Don't you think that it would be vastly ignorant for people that have put their time into their jobs with the federal government for 20, 30 or more years wouldn't even consider leaving that job because 'maybe' the shutdown will go longer than they thought? Or maybe they might leave after those 20, 30 or more years with great benefits, health care, 401K savings plans, child care benefits, and on and on..... and that perhaps the shutdown ends the day after they leave all of that? It's not even remotely logical to assume they would do that and go work as a Walmart greeter or pizza maker at Pizza Hut with a low hourly wage and no benefits.

    Get real!

Then you are part of the problem, not part of the solution.

You don't support the Presidential powers enumerated by the Constitution, so you are either a traitor or just never had a Government class such as was once required to graduate from High School. You argument is long on hyperbole and ad hominem statements but totally lacking with respect to knowledge of what the Constitution says about how laws are made.

Do you or do you not understand that Article 1 Section 7 of the Constitution provides for a Presidential veto of legislation?

Yes of course I know the president has veto power, so what's your problem or do you even understand why you're making an issue out of that? It's just so silly but maybe you didn't get enough attention yourself today just as Trump feels he hasn't.

Court will rule you cannot force people to work without pay. Then these people will take a walk including the border patrol agents. No agents, no walls....MAGA??
