When you claim masculinity is negative you are a sexist and when you use a racist organization as part of your propaganda you are embracing that racism.

So, why are you so hard on imaginary people in television commercials?????

 

If you've paid attention your entire life you should have realized three facts:

1) American movies are anti-male

2) American TV programs are insanely anti-male

3) American commercials are worse than movies and TV combined.

In every humorous commercial males (almost always white males) are the butt of the jokes.

Everything bad that happens in a TV commercial happens to a man.

Every contest between a man and a woman is won by a woman.

At any given time there are 5 to 10 commercials where someone is caught naked in public. 100% of the time it is a man.

 

The idea that this is masculinity it that it's an issue we have is sexist.

Masculinity is considered manliness to deem manliness toxic is to disparage men. Bullying people isn't manliness therefore it isn't masculinity, it typically stems from insecurity which is the antithesis of manliness.

 

Masculinity is not toxic. Toxic masculinity is.

 

Say what everybody viewed as unacceptable for centuries is unacceptable?

So I've read articles about the issues between defining toxic part of masculinity and what is considered masculine. The problem is there are parts of what is normally considered masculine that are not healthy. Boys don't cry is a classic example. I wish they would choose a different term to use, but really I think we can all recognize that there are behaviors that are unhealthy that have been considered the masculine ideal.

 

And the vast majority of inventions and discoveries that have defined the human race are due to men. You take the good with the bad.

At least men don’t mentally torture other men into eating disorders and suicide.

 

While men tend not to have eating disorders, men most certainly drive other men to suicide.

That's a completely different issue. You're talking about masculine stereotypes here, or representations of masculinity in popular culture.

The term "Toxic masculinity" however clearly refers to the act of being male by itself, not the way it's represented. Which is what makes it a slur.

 

Anyone using the term toxic masculinity is an insane person. If being male is toxic than being female means you’re psychotic
