There are a lot of worries when that pay is delayed by a month or more. Ever heard of bills?

 

I provided a full list of things that Trump has done - solely as it relates to US sports - which support the notion that trump is a disgrace to the country.

You don't feel that serving fast food at the white house because he had to use his own money is worthy of criticizing Trump? Fine. How about forgetting the national anthem? Or disinviting entire teams simply because a few members of the team dared to criticize trump?

 

He surely would have been better off if he offered up $180 per plate filet mignon at tax payer expense during a government shut down. I'm fairly sure you all would have not complained at all about that either!

Actually, most normal people would have looked at the event and moved on versus looking for any excuse to ridicule said event.

I'm an Alabama fan, and pretty much despise Clemson (but I do grant that on the night of the National Championship they were without a doubt the better team). That said, this was totally classless. Trump is a jerk, and these kids had to eat crappy fast food because of him trying to be funny. At the very least, he should have ordered good food.

Well, the direct federal employees. The contractors (who do much of the actual labor) are not being paid, and will not be paid. I was a federal contractor during the Obama shutdown, and I used all of my vacation time so that I could still get a paycheck--cost me two weeks of vacation the next summer. I was lucky. The janitorial staffs, etc., were not paid, and they probably ended up back on welfare. This is the biggest waste of money possible--limited government services, and giving free vacation (with delayed pay) to all the civil servants. Fiscally very irresponsible.

 

One meal, for college champ athletes who have neither issue and were stoked to meet their President.
