The fact that Trump hasn’t been impeached yet shows that our political system is deeply flawed, and that our government may be complicit in one of the greatest moral failures in modern history. How can the most powerful man in the country be suspected of what could be considered borderline espionage and still continue hold his position? The behavior of this man abhorrent to say the least, and if he were in any other top level position in this country where he had some level of general accountability to the public(CEO, CFO, even a senate position) he'd have been axed ages ago. Innocent until proven guilty, I know, but even the appearance of impropriety in the highest office of the country, if not the world, should be met with extreme scrutiny. The fact that Mueller even has any material to investigate is giant red flag, and yet the Republican Party as a whole continues to act like nothing is wrong despite the fact that multiple members of Trump’s camp have been convicted of a variety of charges stemming from this investigation. Will our country ever recover it’s international reputation? Is Trump the beginning of a trend of demagogues in office? Are Republican senators so hungry for power that they’d allow this man to tear down the country they supposedly love? This entire situation is ridiculous, and its disturbing that it’s been allowed to progress this far.

We need to remove the impression that Dirty Donald has seemingly formed that he was elected King or Dictator, and firmly remove all powers from future presidents that might possibly give them this impression. The first thing we need to remove is the ability to SHUT DOWN ANY PORTION OF GOVERNMENT.It makes us look like the banana republic we are??

Your view that a system that requires proof before judgement is 'deeply flawed' is noted.

Here is your dilemma. First the Democrats have yet to agree to impeach Trump.

Do you know that even for Nixon, the Democrats were not calling for him to be impeached. Republicans charged in and informed Nixon they would impeach him. And republicans were the minority party.

When it came to the crimes of Bill Clinton, Democrats also did not want to impeach him. They fought like wolves with fanged teeth to protect Clinton.

    Read about it yourself.

The fact that Trump hasn't been impeached yet tells me there is nothing to impeach him over. Ever thought of that?

Democrats began their talk of impeaching Trump prior to him being sworn in. I would say they started this nonsense the day he was elected.

    Amendment XXV this year.

The nonsense above about the Dems not wanting to impeach Nixon is . . . nonsense.

The release of the tapes brought enough Republicans over to the Dem impeachment camp that Nixon had to resign.

Too bad the ego maniac Dirty Donald doesn't take a page out of Nixon's book and do the honorable thing and resign.

What's annoying to me is those that worry about how the world sees us. Why do you care? We have the money everyone want's. Who cares what they think? Why are you embarrassed about Trump? I don't get it. Don has got the respect of the world, if you don't think so you need to rethink things.

    Amendment XXV this year.

The nonsense above about the Dems not wanting to impeach Nixon is . . . nonsense.

The release of the tapes brought enough Republicans over to the Dem impeachment camp that Nixon had to resign.
You supplied an opinion. In fact, "On Saturday, July 27 [1974], the House Judiciary Committee approved its first article of impeachment charging President Nixon with obstruction of justice. Six of the Committee's 17 Republicans joined all 21 Democrats in voting for the article. The following Monday the Committee approved its second article charging Nixon with abuse of power. The next day, the third and final article, contempt of Congress, was approved."

"On August 5, 1974, the long sought after audio tapes provided the "smoking gun" which revealed President Nixon had been deeply involved in the coverup and had ordered Haldeman to halt the FBI investigation just six days after the Watergate break-in."...call the FBI and say that we wish, for the country, don't go any further into this case, period..." -- Nixon to Haldeman, June 23, 1972.)

That revelation resulted in a complete collapse of support for Nixon in Congress. On Friday, August 9, Nixon resigned the presidency and avoided the likely prospect of losing the impeachment vote in the full House and a subsequent trial in the Senate. He thus became the only U.S. President ever to resign."

The problem with your assessment is that is does not fully explore all the differing scenarios the FBI, the Justice Department, Congress and the Courts would have incorporated with severity of the unlawful acts by a sitting President.

If a US President were involved with espionage and committing treasonous acts to harm US personal and military...then there would be a need to move post haste.

Just because Mueller has not concluded his investigation in no way means Trump has not committed acts which could get him impeached and removed from office.

The fact that people are seriously considering impeachment shows how deranged they are.

Trump winning did more for the progressive movement than Hillary could have ever accomplished as president.

America really really needed to see the true soul of the GOP.

Or shows how good it is, that people are innocent until proven guilty and won't be hounded out of office by a hypocritical minority? Guilt by implication is an abhorrent, fascist ethos and expounded by too many these days until they're the ones accused. I would also point out that 15 of the Clinton's friends and associates were prosecuted for the Whitewater affair, not to mention 'Chinagate' should he have been forced to resign?
Remember, people elected Trump to put 'America First' and didn't care what the rest of the world thought. How is Trump a demagogue and exactly what has he 'torn down'?

If 45 has a problem with the FBI all he has to do is start talking about how they managed the LV sheriff’s info at press conferences after the Mandalay shootings. Then highlight that 8 witnesses confirming multiple shooters died within a month or so.

People expect a FBI investigation so the theatre provides one. That doesn’t mean that the best evidence will be brought forth or that any evidence will be acted upon.

"The fact that Trump hsn't been impeached yet shows just how flawed our political system is"

no one ever expected either party to not only look the other way like they have with Trump, but actually try to protect him, it's sad really
