How does a spouse earn it she/he didn’t have working years ? They getting free stuff ? They didn’t earn it.
How come depended minors of over 65 Medicare recipients are covered under some conditions. That’s free stuff.
How come All those under disability who haven’t worked enough to earn any thing get Free Medicare ?

Social security is funded by the workers and their employers. Money paid out to spouses comes from that same fund. It is not free. It was paid for by the working spouse.

Currently the Social Security fund will run out in 2034 because all the money in the fund will be depleted and more money will be going out than is coming in. That, of course, is if the government pays back the money from the social security fund which they have borrowed.

The FICA tax limit on income was raised recently by the IRS incrementally with the cost of living to keep SS solvent. It will never run dry. You cannot stop the old republicans from getting their free stuff. Ya gotta luv socialism.

I never said a word about medicare. SS is funded purely by the workers and the employers. The federal government provides nothing. Thus it is not free.

Projections are that it will go broke in 2034. The cost of living adjustments do not keep up with it because people are living longer. Although that is coming into question.

Right now, more is being paid out than is coming in. You can do that only for so long. Right now they are saying until 2034.

But that is a minor point. The point is SS is not free. It is all paid for by employees and employers.

Your claim of SS running out was based upon the old cap. They raised it. They’ll raise it everytime SS is in jeopardy of running out. This is socialism at its finest. And its not because rich people made them do drugs or get pregnant and drop put of school
