Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg cancels 2 upcoming events

Washington (CNN)Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will not attend scheduled talks in the upcoming weeks in Los Angeles and New York, following her surgery in December, after she missed Supreme Court arguments earlier this month, the event hosts said.

The 85-year-old justice was supposed to attend an event on January 29 at Los Angeles' Skirball Cultural Center. A long-planned conversation between Ginsburg and the financier and philanthropist David Rubenstein was scheduled for February 6, and the 92nd Street Y said Wednesday that it was working to reschedule the event.

Im betting she won't be able to attend the State of the Union address either.

Recently she had portions of her lung removed due to cancer.

Currently she is age 85 and has now missed nearly 2 weeks of the Supreme court session.

God bless her. I think her ideology is screwed up and I disagree with every decision she's ever made on the court. But she was a close friend of Scalia and appears to be a decent person. She's reaching the end of her life. I wish her the best.

It’s sad the amount of people that are wishing death on this woman because they disagree with her politics. Thank you for having a level of respect for an individual that has dedicated her life to the country and for life in general.

 

There is an upcoming biopic about her....she has lived a long, long, long wonderful and amazing life...the Grimm Reaper comes for us all....she deserves to enjoy the remaining time of her life.

With that said, I do think it's time for McConnell to revisit the decades old Biden Rule....especially in light of the uproar from the Dems in 2016.

 

She a Supreme Court justice who is sending out signals that life as she once knew is has changed, and I can't say it's surprising based on her age and health issues.

At this point, given her status, she is becoming a threat to our Republic...we need a functioning Judicial Branch of Govt.

 

Her age, the lung procedure she just had on top of a couple of cracked ribs would be tough on anybody, add to that it’s the middle of flu season and she is seeing medical professionals and therapists that are in daily contact with sick people. For many seniors it isn’t the slip and fall that does them in, it’s the complications that follow. I wish her well through this.
