They enter America to get work. We've had migrant workers here since the founding of the country.
And if they are desperate enough to find work, the wall can be gone over, under, around and smuggled through.
We have walls and fences on most of the border. And I think, most every place that is easily accessible.
We don't have open borders.

Yes, they all say that? I'd guess about 30% are genuine applicants, and the rest are opportunists for various other activities, some of them criminal. If any of them circumvent the existing border controls (as you suggest above) to gain entry, that makes them illegals right from the start. I keep saying they should apply for entry in their own countries, and go through the legal procedure, otherwise these caravans will continue into the foreseeable future, and that won't be good for your country, any more than our illegals are good for mine; it's the main reason for the problems with our NHS and social services especially accommodation - they can't cope with the numbers.
