The Boys Scout always had girls amongst their rank. But of course I don't expect you to know it.

Funny how you didn't use my whole quote, since it shows it is not about phrasing. Here is the whole quote, with the important parts highlighted:

If is also funny how triggered the right is over the Gillette commercial. It was just a commercial. Get over it already.

That is a lie.....I was in Boy Scouts. One merit badge short of Eagle. Attended several LARGE events across the country.. Never once did I see a girl in uniform. Girl Scouts?....a different story. I think you, like the rest of a segment of our culture, are just having an increasingly hard time knowing the difference. To you it's boys can be girls and girls can be boys.

You're right. Yeah, women should get over it too. There is NO ONE preventing women from succeeding in business, so why do we need AA to prop them up? Why do Universities need to give special treatment to accept more women than men especially in STEM fields? Why do women need special FEMALE ONLY conferences and organizations? If women were such good directors, why do they need special chances to make movies? If they were equal to men, couldn't women easily open up their own tech companies on their own? Who keeps them down? Is there someone stopping them from developing an app in their basement? Do men bust the doors down on young ladies bedroom doors preventing them from obsessing over tech? Same with minorities. They just need to all get over it already, right? You said it.

Oh and by the way, men have to get over a lot more. We have to take it, because we're supposed to take it, tough it out, overcome and move on. Its what makes men, men. We persevere without whining and complaining about every little thing. Women and minorities aren't required to be rocks, like we're supposed to be.

I wonder, how does this affect you at all? Have you ever lost a job interview to a woman or a minority, even though you KNEW you were the better candidate?

This is the very definition of toxic masculinity, where society expects men to be these heartless robots and take whatever we are given. That's a lie told by those around us and that is what makes men hate any perceived weakness in themselves or others.

No idea anything about "venturing crew". Never heard of it. If it allows girls then it is "venturing crew" not the Boy Scouts. Are you aware that Boys and Girls are different and are entitled to do different activities?

Masculinity may be toxic to you. Femininity is probably "toxic" as well. The problem is, you can't accept there are differences. You like to paint the sexes as "victims". That is the leftist tactic that is going on here in America. Paint everyone as being persecuted, divide them into groups, and the invite them into some kind of "Rainbow Collective". This is the absolute truth." Absolute" that is a "toxic " word to the left as well. There are no absolutes to the left. To them, nothing is right, nothing is wrong, things just are.

Organizations change. Very few are the same as the original charter set up.

One can't get it right, when it comes to LGBT. I am sure you don't believe it, but it is the way they are born. Most know they are not straight hetero by the time they reach puberty.

It effects EVERYONE. The existence of AA undermines everything. I have to work with potential AA candidates. I was told I could only consider, "seriously", female interns, because our dept is mostly male. I've noticed women and a couple minorities around the office extremely suspect, once I dealt with them. Who knows how they got the job? They seemed rather over their head and ill prepared. Did they EARN the job or given it? I don't know? Because AA exists and it forced anyone logical to question. If AA didn't exist, I wouldn't need to wonder, but that's not the world we live in.

I'm already well established so my job is secure. And when I was younger in the design industry, it was mostly guys and no one was bitching that there weren't enough female animators or designers. If they were good, they got jobs, but there really weren't that many. In film school it was also mostly guys.

But my son will be in a different world in another decade. He will be competing to get into college and the workforce and he is exactly what is now considered evil. White, male, Jewish, middle upper class...privileged, pure scum obviously. Not as worthy as a minority or female in a STEM field. My daughter even though she is unfortunately also white and Jewish and not poor, she will have some strikes against her also, for nothing besides the color of her skin and because she had shitty parents who cared too much and made sure she was well prepared in life=) Stupid us, for being responsible parents. Our kids aren't as worthy of an opportunity as some other people. Hmmmm. What do we call that again?

Do you agree that race and gender should matter in college acceptance and job qualifications, because psssssst, thats racist and bigotry. Men being bred to be tougher is why men dominate so many fields. Being told to be tough and not bitch and moan about every little thing is not MASCULINE. Its called being tough and not bitching about every little thing like an overly sensitive wuss who can't handle adversity. Its called being an adult.

So when they say men need to just get over it, I say sure...men should just get over it, as soon as women get over using every excuse in the book why they can't succeed.

So much for you claiming to know about the Boy Scouts. If you ever belonged to the BSA, you would have known about the Venturing Crew.

    Same organization.

Is camping strictly for boys? Is cooking strictly for girls? Are you living in the 18th century or something?

Have you ever even heard of the "Girl Scouts"? Now the venturing crew is a name the Boy Scouts must have come up with to include girls in the last decade or so. How old are you....10?

Noted that you can't answer any of my questions, and I guess you don't know about the history about the BSA after all. No need to have a discussion with someone who is ignorant of facts and then perpetrate a weak attempt at an ad hom.

Its a little odd dude. You also don't want to reveal your sex! Which is strange for a conservative! I'm guessing male though.

And that right there is why I don't give it all away to anyone who asks.

You think I'm male, and a conservative. You're diametrically wrong on both counts.

Do we know why this was necessary considering the existence of GIRL Scouts?

Uh, no. Isn't that exactly why Girl Scouts exists?

Perhaps you need to ask the parents and the girls who wants to join the BSA. My take? The GSUSA program is archaic and not rooted in reality. Not sure how many girls today are actually into cooking, sewing, arts and crafts. Their award program is not really recognized as to the degree as that of the BSA. Most people would know about the Eagle rank but hardly anyone know what a Gold award is.

But...it seems like we are getting OT. We had this discussion on an entire thread devoted to this topic.

So that people can not know anything about you? What does that achieve?

There's just no way in the world that you are a female liberal! Maybe a female who is somewhere in the middle!
