    The Washington Post has had to issue yet another retraction after falsely claiming that far-left Native American activist Nathan Phillips served in the Vietnam War. He didn’t — but this lie was previously used to help raise money for a documentary about his life.

    Nathan Phillips told reporters at The Toledo Blade in July 2007 that he served in the Vietnam War from 1972-1976. (we withdrew in 1973)

    1972-1976 in the Marines? Seems like there is significant overlap to me.

    Also have to love the irony of MAGA supporters criticizing the service of a marine. Weren't you guys slandering this guy by saying he was drunk?

    The criticism isn't about him being a Marine even thou I will also question that
    the criticism is him claiming he is a Vietnam war Vet which is a blatant lie
    is called stolen valor its a federal offence profiting off of lying about military service

    you do know we withdrew in Vietnam in 1973 so how in the hell did he serve in the Vietnam War from 1972-1976 three years after we left 3 years after it was taken over by the communist

    That would be the best possible thing for him to say at this time in light of all his lies outing, "I wasn't thinking clearly, was tired, had a drink or two that day, and didn't realize the truth of what I was walking into, was ashamed to admit my error, but want to clear the record now." He's going to end up giving his paymasters a black eye otherwise. He could even get conveniently disappeared.

    maybe if you would actually read the two starting post instead of jumping to conclusions you would realize they aren't duplicate stories one is about Phillips lying about what happened last weekend at the Lincoln Memorial and this one is about him lying about serving in Vietnam
    but I will excuse you because Phillips has lied so much it is hard to keep track of them all

    He is UNDENIABLY a "Vietnam Era" Veteran.

    Many people who served in that era never went to Nam, but are referred to as "Vietnam Era Veterans".

    Is that actually "news" to you?

    and he profited off that lie
