    There is no question about the hate for Islam causing harm to individuals who espouse that religion.

    Humans don't have the capacity to compartmentalize their hatred so carefully.

    Face it: hate is a disease.

    And as for this particular church, let's remember that there are videos of them doing blackface at their basketball games.

    That kid in the video (as supported by the PR firm he hired to spread disinformation) is an example, as is the church who taught him the morality that resulted in his behavior.

    Fake News. Please don't propagate bullshit lies.

    Learn what was going on. It wasn't "blackface" as we think of it. They have several color-themed events. Black is just one of the color-themed days.

    The only reason the blackout theme is getting press, is to create Fake News. Otherwise, why aren't the blue-themed photos being circulated? I can tell you. It's because there are people wanting to push false narratives.

    My job as a teacher was to educate and empower kids like Nick Sandmann so they didn't feel a need to woof for their peers, and to keep them safe by street-proofing them, not teaching them to cower as citizens in the face of racists and provocateurs.

    My priorities as an educator, in order, were to satisfy needs of: (1) students, (2) their parents who know them best, provided they aren't rare sickos abusing their kids, (3) my employer who pays to educate students, (4) my boss, (5) district officials, (6) my colleagues, and (7) people "out there" like you.

    Nick Sandmann should make up his own mind about the kind of person he wants to be and not be egged on by adult morons (guess who I'm thinking about) running everything through a narrow lens of personal self-interest. Jerk adults use kids like Sandmann and move on.

    My message to Sandmann ... don't become a clowning racist dirtbag baited by pond scum like Nathan Phillipe and his racist pals. Live your life without regrets. Learn from this negative experience.

    No, what happened was real--kids who adults failed to street-proof were baited by a lying lowlife like Nathan Phillips and race-hater blacks parading as Jews (a form of antisemitism). The incompetent chaperones made the situation worse, btw.

    They can call it anything they want. That's no excuse.

    The actions I mentioned show a deep disregard for basic moral principles.

    And, that smug faced kid made himself part of an event that had its seeds in that church and in this presidentiial administration. Whether he individdually can be proved to have not yelled epithets is irrelevant. He happened to be caught on camera and through that became the face of a truly ugly response by others like himself.
