5 people shot and killed at Sun Trust Bank in Sebring Fla.

A hostage situation resulting in at least five shot and killed at a Sun Trust Bank on Rte. 27 in Sebring Florida has ended with the surrender of the assailant who had barricaded himself in the bank.It is not certain at this time if the deceased were bank employees or customers.A police news conference is scheduled for later

 

For a state that was mostly for seniors, they sure have a lot of crime there.

 

Crime of every size shape and configuration is prevalent in Florida.

 

80% chance the shooter is someone who could not legally own a gun for reason of being a convicted felon. 15% chance it was some crazed incel trying to kill some gal that rejected him.

 

The 21 year old shooter identified as Zephen Xaver who was employed as a corrections officer trainee at Avon Park Corrections Institution until he resigned on January 9,2019.He was in good standing with no disciplinary problems at the time of his resignation.The type and legality and origin of the weapon he used has not yet been released by police.

The shooter is originally from Plymouth and Bremen,Indiana having attended high school in both these towns.He was living with his mother and step father in Sebring at the time of the shooting.He has no prior criminal record.he had just registered to vote with no party designation.He is an online fan of Milo Yiannopoulos and Alex Jones???

How that does that apply to me? We live in an isolated area too far from law enforcement to be of value.

The issue isn't whether gun ownership increases the chances of a firearm tragedy in our household. The issue is whether we are safer with guns than without guns.

 

It's hard to improve on the maxim that: "When seconds count, the police are only minutes away."

It's also not very reassuring to learn that, legally, the police are not required to protect you.

Had the shooter been dragged to the town square and hung from a street light for 3 days there would never be another shooting in Sebring.

 

In this day of eating Tide Pods I just don't know. Hanging and rotting in the town square might be considered 3 days in the sun, a legit route to fame.
