Public opinion is very important but in the hands of Dem pollsters is tainted and cannot be correctly gauged.

Actually, no. Incumbent seats are rarely flipped, fact. By jumping ship and retiring early, 35 or so Republicans put their incumbent seats into play.

This is a false narrative nobody cares. 5 billion dollars is nothing to our government.

This is pettiness and rage at Donald Trump.

Not sure about results of this poll. I believe the majority has no problem with finishing barrier where currently does not exist and is needed.

I think their answer is based on the shut down and people not getting paid.

Congress should stop getting paid till shut down over and money used to pay Government Workers used to pay or help workers.

And i believe the Presidents last offer is totally fair and Pelosi and Schummer trying to "win" as if this is a contest.

The frequency of incumbent seats flipping are dependent on the voters.

You can just say you don't trust the polls and I'll take the dem controlled house just the same. But stop the stupid argument.

Trump is doing better than I hoped. Hey, did you hear the latest? The SOTU will most likely be delivered from outside of Washington; best news I’ve heard since Pelosi was grounded. And who would want to stay in what you’ve correctly called a swamp?

A breath of fresh air Trump is :applause:

And those millions of votes were consolidated to a few extremely Liberal counties in CA and NY. They weren't spread out across the country. As you could see with any EC map, Trump won the vast majority of districts which is how our election process works. As shown through Clinton's actions, she simply ignored ALL areas where she didn't feel she had any shot. So extrapolate that to how a purely popular vote would work and its easy to see how a Democrat candidate like Clinton would allow all parts of the country to crumble who don't get in line. She would IGNORE them, which is why the EC exists. It FORCES the govt to care about everyone, not just those who blindly follow you. Now think really hard who comes off as the Totalitarian again;)

You can't hide how she felt about people who didn't vote for her. She was quite clear. She was actually far more divisive in her rhetoric AGAINST Trump voters, compared to Trump and his attitude towards Hillary voters. Also, your misogyny is quite amusing, calling people you hate "bitches". Hey, I'm just using the Liberal playbook, hehe. What a kind and compassionate Progressive you are, hehe. More proof who the dangerous people really are.

I've started redlining your bullshit points and stopped - I'd have to redline most if not all of them. I'll counter your 30 bullshit points with just 2 points of my own:

    1. Hillary is not president
    2. US courts including SCOTUS are fast becoming conservative

    Enjoy

LOL! Tells you all you need to know. Over 1 in 4 of the respondents of this poll are hopeless trumpettes. Completely unable to form a thought in their vacant heads without it coming from the WH first. Sad!

LOL!! No freaking way!! Most people want better security, yes. Most people, at least the ones who can think for themselves, know that a wall is the least effective method. I think increasing funding to border patrol would be something most would get behind. 5.7 bil would almost certainly be better spent on more personnel and technology.

I spoke with Steny Hoyer, he said, "I think it's dangerous to shut down the government of the United States -- Neil, I think it's dangerous to shut down the government of the United States. It is inappropriate. It is something that no other country pursues, no other free country pursues, and it is a stupid thing to have this president have done. And there is no doubt he shut it down. He took credit for it, said, I'm going to shut it down. And he said, a good shutdown may be good for the country. He was dead, flat wrong. We ought to open up the government, create an environment in which two co-equal branches of government can have a rational discussion to achieve the objective I think that we all agree with, and that is making our country secure and our borders secure..."

Open the government and then we can discuss just how much walls are part of the solution.

A barrier that redirects people to certain areas to make it easier for border patrol to pick them up, isn't an effective method of security? We're not talking the great wall of China here=)

And I prefer free methods that would solve the problem easier. Remove all ways an illegal can live in the country and they will self deport or starve. NO birthright. No free medical care. No free education. No jobs without legal ID. Done. Simple. Easy and essentially free, since its just legislation which costs nothing. Not perfect, but it would solve a number of problems.

Oh I didn't miss jack ****. He thinks walls are useful, important, and part of the border security solution. But he also agrees - like 71% of America - that the wall is not enough reason to keep the government shutdown.

But you keep on harping on that one Democrat's position that walls can be part of the eventual solution AFTER the government is re-opened. It's a really strong talking point for you. Let's go visit the Republicans, shall we?

First off the Democrats never keep their word. Which is something you don't think much about. Despite its a reality that has been proven.

So now misconstruing that I would trust anything Democrats say out of their mouth. Or would even support their political play. Is even far reaching for a die hard leftist such as yourself.

Oh and Gardner can still break with Trump. As the plans are going nowhere.

Senators will vote Thursday on two plans that are going nowhere
