    HILARIOUS! ...I sure would like to see that Holy Christian country where no one ever does anything wrong like RAPE CHILDREN, or cheats on their spouses or break laws to get their brain damaged kid into colleges...

    This has NOTHING to do with Islam.

    They were PRAYING!

    This was an act of pure terrorism - using slaughter in hopes of effecting a political outcome.

    And, condoning terrorism on the grounds that it is inevitable is absolutely NOT acceptable.

    By committing these acts in developed countries, the terrorists (whether white or muslim) always achieve the opposite effect of what they're trying to change. They invoke the world's hatred and attention on themselves, and create more sympathy and support for the victim group.

    And before you say I'm blind or unaware of the facts, I don't live with that same fear you do. The flaw I see in your reasoning is that you rely on a stereotype of Muslims. I have a son in Minneapolis and a brother in Dayton, both of which have large populations of Muslims, and I've never felt the fear or witnessed the violent nature the media assigns to these people. That trashes the stereotype. As far as the religion, it's a religion and I dislike it. I dislike any religion that uses force or fear to keep people in line.

    Clearly, nobody thinks it's ok to celebrate this act of terrorism, but maybe the question should be "is it acceptable to suggest that they somehow deserved it because they belonged to that religion?"

    The point is that some would justify these murders by pointing to previous acts of terrorism. Eye for an eye, no end to it all.

    A true Trump believer just spoke his mind. His views are shared by many of Trump's fans. Why is that? Allow me to explain.

    "Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on," Trump said to national television audience.

    Referring to the clash of neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and members of the KKK versus the townspeople of Charlottesville defending their homes, Trump declared, “You also had some very fine people on both sides.”

    In an interview yesterday with Breitbart News, Trump said this:

    You know, the left plays a tougher game, it’s very funny. I actually think that the people on the right are tougher, but they don’t play it tougher. Okay? I can tell you I have the support of the police, the support of the military, the support of the Bikers for Trump — I have the tough people, but they don’t play it tough — until they go to a certain point, and then it would be very bad, very bad. But the left plays it cuter and tougher.

    It would be very bad, very bad.

    There’s no particular reason to give Trump the benefit of the doubt on this. But even if he did intend it in this somewhat less disgusting way, he’s still saying that the ranks of his armed supporters could at some point feel provoked to violence. He doesn’t say they should feel provoked, but merely that they might feel provoked under certain conditions and Trump is giving his okay by saying, "I have the tough people."

    Trump said Friday he does not believe white nationalism is a rising global danger after a suspected gunman who authorities say espoused that ideology massacred 49 Muslims in New Zealand.

    “I don’t really. I think it’s a small group of people that have very, very serious problems. It’s certainly a terrible thing,” he said.

    OK.

    For me, that's too close to being justification.

    It suggests that the mere presence of someone with a different religion means they will surely be slaughtered. That such slaughter is what we should EXPECT from those of NZ - and America. (Why would we be different as humans?)

    If you buy into that, it suggests that the remedy is to prevent people from living here (or NZ) if they don't look like us, believe the majority religion, etc. It means we need to become apartheid.

    So, as an American living under our constitution I have NO choice but to oppose that view. AND, the NZ tragedy was pure terrorism (slaughter of civilians to effect political change), and I will not accept terrorism, either.

    Harmony? Not until you also toss out all the Lefties and Conservatives, the queers, the Jehovah's Witnesses, country bumpkins and city slickers, Christians, atheists and educated elite. Not until you toss out anyone who has a different point of view. Then we might also consider those who crunch too loud and have trampolines in their front yards.

    One should also note that the shooter was a Sinophile who hoped that the shooting would trigger the self destruction of the west in an orgy of infantile racial identity slaughter.
