i see you've been a member of the forum since 2013. certainly then you can direct me to your posts recommending we get rid of obama. there were 40 mass shootings in 8 years on his watch and a few dozen cold-blooded assassinations of mostly white police officers by mostly black assailants as obama fanned the flames of racial divide and largely justified the sophistry of #SomeBlackLivesMatter while simultaneously tacitly encouraging violent thugs to be even more violent, especially against police, up to the point of murdering them in cold blood. under obama, there were also several bomb attacks including the boston marathon, and several attempted bomb attacks that were thwarted by the good work of law enforcement. oh, and at least one muslim-terrorist-style heavy truck attack (perpetrated by... wait for it... a muslim terrorist) killing several pedestrians and bicyclists in manhattan before he was stopped by... wait for it... a good guy with a gun. wow that obama sure was responsible for a lot of bloodshed. please, some links to those posts of yours would be very helpful. thank you.

i don't recall any of these violent nutjobs claiming income inequality was their cause celebre.

i agree that mental health services could help curtail some of the mass shooters, but ideological killers (like the white guy who shot the muslims in NZ or the muslims who shot the white people in CA) are not necessarily mentally ill. and how about acting on credible intelligence instead of sweeping it under the rug like the radical leftist sheriff of broward county did with that scumbag who shot up stoneman douglass and introduced the nation that delightful little brownshirt david camera hogg?

you mean who can legally obtain guns. because anyone can obtain guns if they want them. your screening will only make it more difficult for people like me and my husband (law-abiding, taxpaying, decent, moral citizens with barely a parking ticket) to obtain firearms. and we're not your problem.

There are millions of crazy people in the world, and more who are just dumb. I try hard enough to find people I like, admire, and from whom I can learn. Reading this guys 'manifesto, above what I've already read, is of little interest.

But if you learn something from it that's meaningful and lends to your understanding then that's fine with me. Perhaps we can debate the points you find interesting.

Well, it's the same thing with trump supporters. Plenty of people want to say "well, they are just crazy, how can you make any sense of nutjobs like that?" But, there are causes and underlying variables that influence crazy actions and there is value in trying to understand and mitigate those things.

No, there really isn't. We can read their complaints and some will try to legitimize them but, in the end, they're just murderous scum.
