So you're saying the firing of Comey was a trap?

Nope, but it was obviously justified. A lot of people were hoping it was some kind of obstruction but his firing didn't obstruct anything. In retrospect I think everyone realizes just how justified the firing was, especially with him anonymously leaking private meetings to the press. What an *******.

Trump should have fired Comey the minute he took office....and I was very surprised when he did not.

Blame the prosecutor who refused to make that determination himself. Though, the fact that he said 'evidence on both sides' shows how weak the case actually is. He acted as the defense as well in his own investigation. In my opinion, he did so knowing that the Trump legal team had its own legal argument against obstruction. I wouldn't hang my hat on the report if I were you honestly.

Question for the lefties if any of you can come out of your TDS rage mode for a moment,
Do any of you believe, if Barr distorts what Mueller wrote in his report, that Mueller will not immediately come back to defend and clarify his own report?

No, now I have Barr's whitewash and yours, both of which (at this point), mean nothing.

Correct, but, if they had evidence to support a criminal indictment, they could issue a sealed one to be enforced after he leaves office. They didn't do this, because they came up empty.
Correct. You cannot charge the President for Obstruction for nothing more than exercising his constitutional authority.
Only because Mueller handed him the job. Mueller had the authority to charge him, if he had sufficient evidence to, but instead he handed the decision to Barr and Barr made the call.
It's an easy one to defend. Comey was a liar and a creep. He repeatedly lied to his boss and got fired.
Anything could be, but nothing is.

Your hysteria is without cause; Mueller's report is without a point.

In fact the pointlessness of it all is the major takeaway from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s much-anticipated final report on the Trump/Russia probe. Hillary delayed her concession and then when she did concede made up this tale that she didn't really lose, she and all her voters were cheated by a fabrication of hers, that Trump engaged in criminal conspiracy with the Putin and stole the election. I shuddered as I watched this drunken wretch stab the mind of the electorate one last time out sheer malice. She is truly a vile horrible woman.
Anyone paying attention knew this long ago. No crime was specified when Mueller was appointed even though the special-counsel regulations require one. Anyone who had read the indictments Mueller filed, saw that Russia’s operations predated Trump’s entry into the 2016 campaign, that some of them were actually anti-Trump in nature, and that Russia neither needed nor sought American collaborators.
    OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE:
Now that's a question Mueller could have answered, but, Mueller abdicated, refusing to render a prosecutorial judgment. His final act was a dereliction of duty, making it even more clear that there was never a legal basis nor a practical need for the appointment of a special counsel.

The Witch Hunters theory that they could find obstruction in acts lawfully within the president’s discretion, such as firing FBI director James Comey — was always a pile of crap and in the end, even Mueller wouldn't take a stand on it.

I'm not honestly but the fact remains that there was/is a LOT of cover up and lying There must be some reasoning for it. Trump is insane but they ALL can't be.

So, like Barr, you think the President is above the law. Interesting.
Did he? Maybe Mueller thinks as Barr does......can't indict a President.
... is defending his position on why he determined that the sitting President didn't obstruct justice...
It's an easy one to defend. Comey was a liar and a creep. He repeatedly lied to his boss and got fired.
The reply has nothing to do with the statement.
300 pages without a point? And you have read it.....do tell.

Lol. This liberal whining and bleating about Barr doing his job means nothing.

This ludicrous leftist narrative that 15 Trump hating Hillary donors on Mueller's which hunt are objective but Barr isn't means nothing and is fooling no one. IT IS OVER.

You are falsely imputing positions to me that I do not hold. Trump did not break the law by firing a lying underling, it was obviously within his Constitutional Power. You think Comey is accountable to no one, Interesting.
Mueller can't indict a sitting President, but, he could file a sealed indictment that activates when Trump leaves office, but not for an exercise of Trump's Constitutional Authority. To give you a sense of just how powerful Trump's authority is to fire his cabinet members, it's a decision that isn't even reviewable by the Supreme Court. We have no Lords or Nobility in the US. No one has an inherent right to rule. Everyone that exercises governmental authority in the US traces that power through someone who stood before the Electorate, our government may only act with the Consent of the Governed. ALL Executive power is vested in The President. Every person in the Executive Branch derives their authority from Trump. That is why Trump firing Comey isn't reviewable by SCOTUS, because SCOTUS exercises ONLY Article III power.

    Article II, Section 1.
The executive power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.
This entire hoax has been pointless, as was Mueller's appointment and now his report.

Trump was Comey's boss. Comey repeatedly lied to Trump telling him he was not a suspect under investigation, and then stunned Trump and the Nation by announcing on March 2017 in congressional testimony that the FBI was investigating the Trump campaign for possible “coordination” in Russia’s cyber espionage. Trump, tired of Comey’s refusal to state publicly what he repeatedly told Trump privately, fired him on May 9. Trump relied on a memorandum by Rosenstein, which cited bipartisan condemnation of the director’s mishandling of the Hillary Clinton emails caper during the 2016 campaign.

8 days later, Rosenstein, who had endorsed firing Comey, used the firing of Comey as a pretext for a sprawling special-counsel investigation.

Yes she did. AG Barr makes the final decision on charging and he's made it. The Fat Lady has not only sung, she has left the stage.

You do not know why Mueller declined to recommend indictments.

    We will learn someday.

And the odds are at least even, you won't like the answer. (with a reckless, stupid clown like Trump, it usually is).

In any case, Barr had to admit that the document is damning.

It is equally obvious that now that he has looked at it, he's stalling.

Trump obviously wants it covered up. He has totally flipped his tune in the last few days.

Which was inevitable. The idiot has made this mistake before. Declaring premature victory (and, non existant victory).

Mind linking me to these changes? As far as I'm aware, Barr has been consistent since his confirmation vote that he'd release the report, with the necessary redactions giving a now-general date of mid-april. I don't subscribe to Nadler's ACTUAL obstruction of Justice. Imagine if Trump really did interfere with the interworkings of the Justice Department, as Nadler has done.

Laughably saying "We'll cooperate, but under threat of subponea." Who the hell is he kidding? And if Trump does invoke executive privilege, it's his right to do so. Especially in light of no charges. The legislative branch doesn't get to humiliate the President, nor is humiliating Trump close to a vote on impeachment.

Sure, Democrats might vote for it in the House, but it won't even be 'tried' in the Senate. The Senate won't lower itself to a kangaroo court for the second time in less than a year.

    Speaking of non-existant victory's,
Oddly so have some idiot lefties that told us Trump would be out of the White House for the last 2-1/2 years.

If the Democrats keep going all in as they have been doing, they are going to continue to look foolish. They are batting something like 0-4 against Trump so far. They will alienate many independent voters...and even some Democrat voters. They can not win in 2020 without independent votes. If they keep looking as foolish as they have been, they will basically give Trump his re-election. But keep the Hope alive.....pretty soon, that blind squirrel might find a nut.
