He's been in office 2 and 1/2 years. If you think it's his fault, you're a real dufus. Most of those bridges are the responsibility of the states they're in.
See? This is how desperate the left is since they don't have collusion delusion to cling to any more. Grasp at any straw you can.

Isn't that what TOLLS are for privatizing it for the local authority. The Geo.Washington bridge tolls have to be in the multi billions every year as do many other bridges in and around NYC.

How about your state just raising taxes to build those new bridges?

You don't have a problem with that, do you?

No. We need to raise a lot more taxes.

Yes importing and supporting a million unknown people a year with 6th grade educations is cheaper than the wall.

Living on borrowed money from china makes no sense to me.

Since the warmongers love war so much then they ought to be liable to pay as we kill.

The neglect of our roads bridges and infrastructure in general is not confined to one political party or administration,it is long running and both party's are equally guilty. We used to be home to the worlds tallest buildings, no more, another sign of our declining place in the world.

Sure, that 100+ billion a year and extra crime is well spent.

This isn't a fact filled anything. But it is a collection of attacks on the usual suspects that right wingers like to target.

It says nothing about how the money was spent (as most of hadn't been spent at that point (something you seem to be unaware of).

So, it actually tells you NOTHING about how that ARRA worked.

    You may try looking here.

    https://www.thebalance.com/what-was-obama-s-stimulus-package-3305625

You will note that nearly a third of the money went to tax cuts, which the Republicans insisted on. That money came directly out of the money for "shovel ready" projects.

I can think of several highway/heavy contractors who stayed in business through that period because of this act. So, I have no doubt that it saved jobs.

It was never intended to fully rebuild the nation's infrastructure. The neglect was already over two decades old, and the price tag was too high without tax increases. The GOP was dead set against anything that would actually improve the economy other than tax cuts (their one and only economic proposal ever).

    Trump promised an infrastructure plan.

Two and a half years in, there's no sign of one, and there isn't likely to be.

If there was any doubt that no one in the Trump organization or Administration had the slightest idea how to put together such a proposal, much less understand the scope of the issue, that doubt was laid to rest by the serial incompetence of Trumpian governance.

The article is factually accurate, and of course you do not counter a single -fact- in it in any direct honest way, not surprised.

Anyone reading the article can instantly see the above for the falsehood that it is. $300 billion into feminist and other social program ratholes as opposed to the supposedly earmarked "shovel ready" infrastructure projects couldn't be more clear about how the money was spent.

Rest of post is typically nonresponsive, fallacious or outright false in keeping with this poster's track record. Full of straw man such as "tells you nothing of how that ARRA worked," (no one claimed that it was some comprehensive -guide- to the stimulus) and "it was never intended to fully rebuild the nation's infrastructure." Well no one said it was, just more dishonest straw man from a poster with no credibility. Not worth more of my time.

Actually not. As the Republicans keep cutting taxes, to help the wealthiest become more wealthy, there is no longer enough money to afford things like road maintenance.

As I said, most of the money was a long way from being spent.

You might want to invest in a calendar.

I provided you detailed information on how the money was spent and were it went. But that was far too much reading for any Trumpster.

I know! Lets put a tariff on steel so it's more expensive. Then we could cut taxes so we have less money to fix them. That should do it.

Yup. We have spent our money on social programs where the government doesn't belong.

If you had actually read my posts, instead of just replying with right wing conspiracy gobbly gook, you'd know that I regularly address this issue.

Nice job posting an article that reminds us all, that millions of people lost their jobs during Bush's incompetent presidency. That and a lot of people were also losing their homes.

When Obama came to power, stimulus packages were made available. However, Republicans, led by McConnell all got together and decided to do everything in their power, to make Obama look bad, and make him a one term president. This is why Republicans, like Lindsey Graham, who thinks that Trump's troubles are payback, are so angry these days.

To this end Republican Governors and legislatures, blocked the stimulus money. One such chunk of money, was for rail improvements, with the idea of eventually having a high speed rail line, from coast to coast. However, Republicans along most the route blocked it. But not in Oregon and Washington. As a result, trains run smoother, quieter, and faster here, than elsewhere.

The use of this, and other stimulus money is what helped the Pacific Northwest outpace the rest of the country, economically, throughout Obama's presidency. That and the fact that liberalism thrives in these parts.

All of Portland's bridges have been upgraded, needed maintenance done, and a couple replaced. The mass transit system expanded. We could have also have had a new bridge over the Columbia. But Republicans in Vancouver Washington blocked it. Thinking that they shouldn't have to pay anything for it. Yet they are the ones who sit in traffic. Go figure.
