I'm sorry, I don't agree with that.

There is plenty to specifically justify requiring the POTUS to furnish his or her tax returns, along with any other records that governments have on them at any level. Perhaps there may be some things too sensitive for the public to see, but tax returns are not one of them.

I personally don't see why Trump's supporters aren't holding him to his word. He said he would release his tax returns, then he changed his tune as he often does. It seems absurd for anybody to argue that it is not in the best interest of the public to know what Trump's tax returns look like. In fact, I think they are more worried about what is in TRUMP'S best interest, not the public.

 

So, no real reply yet.

What other reason can you think of? If you really think a candidate should release his taxes and he doesn't don't vote for him. Don't obstruct voters who don't care about taxes from voting for him.

Trump is not being asked to abide by any prerequisites that any other presidential candidates are not asked to abide by. So why is it so unfair?

 

Because it is an ad hoc requirement targeted at a specific candidate, as you very well know. It is a bad precedent that can easily be abused in the future and to the detriment of the country.

If you don't like Trump, don't vote for him. Don't try to obstruct others who may want to vote for him.

 

Why are you so protective of this man, and willing to help him cover up?
