The two points are not related.

There is nothing standing in the way of anyone living in the US to change their economic situation. Nothing.

Why do you think millions of people are going to illegally cross the border into the United States this year?

Economic inequality is not codified into united states law. There is no excuse for certain individuals choosing to be lazy and making no effort at improving their situation.

The two points are not related.

Taxes and the ability to personally do something to change your economic situation are completely unrelated.

There is nothing standing in the way of anyone living in the US to change their economic situation. Nothing.

Nothing stands in the way of anyone improving their standard of living. Taxes have nothing to do with that.
