And I’ve been following the development of Chinese weapons since I was still working in intelligence. These missiles create a sufficient heat plume and radar signature to be tracked by satellites. The Chinese can’t test them without it being seen by outside sources and all of their tests have been against fixed targets.

China does not operate Radar Ocean Reconaissance satellites.

Targeting based off of imagery satellites means you are shooting at targets minutes or hours out of date. Ships can be dozens of miles out of the target area by then.
