It's my contention that what the Palestinians need is a Gandhi, a militant pacifist totally committed to nonviolence but at the same time utterly devoted to the Palestinian people. Militant nonviolence worked in India and the United States, it could work here (though admittedly the leaders of both those movements were murdered and neither have yet accomplished all their stated goals).

Has there been such already and do they yet survive?

Also, I have been given to understand that while they are far from salubrious places to live today that both the Gaza strip and the far south of Irag naturally have a general climate and topography resembling either Greece or the Riviera, but warmer. Is that true?

Palestine was the major area of Jewish refuge throughout Medieval times, many of the Sephardim came there when they were expelled from Spain in the 1400's

I am kind of surprised, with as hostile to Israel as the dems have been, that any of the Democrat presidential candidates would volunteer to publicly support Israel, for fear of making their pro-Palestinian supporters angry at them.
