No question trade policies can always be improved, but when the world is your shopping center, shoppers are bound to like some stores better than others and barter can only get you so much (product mix, market size) before you need cash.

I don't think so. why cause they gonna have bigger economy. the fact china/us economy are so intertwined means war is less likely compare to US/USSR era.

 

so you base on fact that some other ppl become more richer as threat? what about india? they gonna become 2nd economy after china in 50yrs or so. the surplus is something American buy, no one force a gun on American to buy Chinese stuff. you can certainly buy US made or japan/Vietnam/india made stuff.

Given U.S. habit of creating wars around the globe, I feel safer knowing that China and/or Russia are able to protect us, even if it is only by proxy.
