"She was then taken to Plock for questioning and was charged with offending religious feelings - a crime in Poland". :eyepopping: What century is this?

Suppose she should have written a few phrases on a used napkin and created a LGBT religion. Then charged the church with the same crime.

Well, what do you know, shameless socially conservative authoritarians with no concept of freedom of speech or freedom of religion.

Charging people with a crime . . . for literally doing nothing more than hurting people's feelings? How do you get more snowflakey than that?

Between an outrageous government attack on basic liberties and someone painting a rainbow . . . you went with complaining about the person painting a rainbow? Cool beans.

I mean, maybe give her a fine for vandalism for plastering this stuff on rubbish bins? Maybe? If we are being really desperate. But she is facing two years in prison for hurting people's feelings. Please let that sink in for a bit.

    Christofacists

What an absurd world we live in where the belief in magical flying sky fairies outweigh human rights.

Can you cite The Bible defining LGBT as a 'sin'? Most certainly The Bible criticizes and warns against homosexuality, however a 'sin' is a very specific thing. The Bible similarly criticizes drunkeness, premarital sex and gambling, however they are not defined as sins, like adultery, theft and murder are.

There is no free speech in Europe, period. It's utterly shameful. Unconditional free speech needs to be put in the constitution pronto and the people behind this kind of laws judged for treason.

And blaming "social conservatives" for this kind of authoritarianism is shameless propaganda that only deserves to get laughed at. Where social progressives are in power you get 7 years of jail for "inciting hatred" (like in Britain), 11 years of jail for watching a murder video (like in Australia), or large scale government programs to censor news they don't like on the Internet (like the EU does). Blaspheming Islam is also punished by prison in the entire EU.

"You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination". (NKJ, Leviticus 18:22)

"If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them". (NKJ, Leviticus 20:13)

I bet you get all giddy thinking about that eh?

Shouldn't be a crime. I hope Poland quickly changes that law.

However, vandalism by painting things on other people's property is a crime.
A crime which I believe should be punished the same regardless of what message or picture is written. But unfortunately that is often not the case in reality.

Probably not but my point was, if said woman uses words like "sin" she should know their meaning.

The term "sin" is strictly related with the term "God". There is no sin without a higher authority (God). And according to said God, 'improper' sexual orientation IS a sin.

Clearly they don't have the first amendment there. So I'm not sure she could create a new religion.

Not sure how one can not create a religion. The litmus test for all religions are pretty weak.

Well you say your religion is such and such and there it is. There is no litmus test the first amendment forbids it.

Plenty of countries punish blasphemy by death today, it's not the case of Poland however.

Neither of those specify that homosexuality damns their soul to Hell, which is the result of sin and only sin.

You are absolutely right, I hate people that want to arrest others for insulting imaginary beings. These people are the plague of the earth.

We were talking that according to Christianity homosexuality is a sin. Whether it condemns the soul to Hell or not, is a different story. ;)

If God is okay with governments jailing people for hurt feelings but has a problem with what two consenting adults do in the bedroom, God needs to do some serious soul searching and think about his priorities.

In Christianity, sin = condemned to Hell (sans forgiveness, of course).

Wikipedia's general description of sin does not apply in this context.

Can you cite where in The Bible that LGBT is labelled a sin as opposed to merely admonished as being generically bad?

Are these so called Christians trying to deny that God may be making mistakes in birthing members of the LBGQT community??Or are they claiming these people owe their birthing to some other unknown phenomenon. They are God's creation just exactly like the rest of us and therefore they should rightfully be entitled to the exact same rules and protections we all have. Those depictions of Our Lady adorned with the rainbow LBGQT insignia are not in the least offensive.

I already cited Leviticus in post #6 that says homosexuality is a sin punishable by death. Well, we could assume it's not a sin but why the death penalty then?
